That looks handy. Link?

Search Amazon for split ring tweezers, you'll see 4-5 options come up.

Found these at a Scheels today for 7 a piece. Anyone know anything about the real vibe? Never seen or heard of it.

Don't know anything about the vib but that Gunnish in Archer Bee is a fish catching machine.

How are you painting the blades? I tried powder paint but it was a disaster with the amount of paint on them.

Powder paint gun and being really careful not to overheat the blade. If it gets too hot, too much paint sticks to it and ruins the action the blade. Usually about 4-6 seconds over the heat gun will do the trick.

I’m a fan of Old Lake Customs out of North Carolina. Cory is in Guntersville this weekend and I spent my allowance on some of his baits:

OK, I just finished reading the reviews on this rod. Other than one person not liking the color, (he couldn't find fault with it's performance) everyone liked the Endurance. I didn't know that it came in an 8 ft Mag Hvy … I might have to pull the trigger on this rod myself.

I have 2 of the 806 endurance punch rods and they're awesome! They weigh under 5oz and could probably drag Moby dick out of cover.

It was raining today, so against my better judgment I took a ride to bass pro to replace just a couple things I Lost. Ended grabbing a few of the newer Berkley stuff to try out at their price why not, we’ll see if they produce. Don’t tell you know who lol.

I must be out of my mind. I told myself not to buy anymore Daiwa and sold most of Daiwas I have. I end up with this darn beautiful thing.

When Shimano is gonna realize that we need some colorful reels too, not just classic silver, gun metal and black reel. I promise no more Daiwa,

Ok so, good week for the tackle box bad week for the wallet. My buddy asked me to take the ride to bass pro with him when I was already there once this week. And again against my judgment I went. Two trips in one week is bad for the wallet lol. I have to admit the rat was a impulse.

There were a ton of pretty nice ones on ebay from Japanese sellers over the last few months.  I got a maybe C+/B- one for like a hundred bucks this past spring.  The yen has picked back up a little bit, but it's still low enough to make used reels from japan very attractive.

I tried the Zakos as a spinnerbait trailer and they worked good. I was hoping for more tail action but the bulk made up for it.

I think they were made for chatterbaits so maybe they need the thump for the action. They seem to have plenty of action on them.

I'll give that a try next time I'm out. Thanks.

I've been wanting to get me a higher end rod in the $100 range. Well today I scored big time! It's not necessarily the rod I wanted in that price range, but I couldn't pass up this steal of a deal. I bought a 7' Daiwa Tatula XT MF baitcasting rod originally $99.99 our price at Academy. It went clearance priced Wednesday for $24.98. They let me hold it til payday today and with my discount I got it for $21.79 tax and all. I'm sooooo happy! Can't wait to try it out. It feels like most MHF rods I've used on the lower end. It's gonna be the perfect rod for crankbaits, topwater treble hook baits and my favorite chatterbaits. For now I've put my Lew's Laser TXS Speed Spool 7.1:1 reel on it. However I have plans to eventually get the Lew's SSG1SH 7.5:1 reel for it. It's  $99.99 and hoping we have a good sale on them again soon. ?

That looks awesome ---- gotta check out how much it cost.

  • Super User

@Burke @BurrowsIt would cost about 140 ordered from Asia. I decided not to since the reel seem to rebadged Fuego CT plus Twing. I had Tatula CT type R before but sold it.

Most of Daiwa reel I ordered base on look and color scheme but sold it afterward.

I don't collect reel, all the reel I've had need to have some purposes for fishing, otherwise it got sold after awhile.

Another view of old fav purple color.
