Didn't think to take pictures until after I'd already got it spooled up and played musical rods to get it where I wanted it, but here you go. My new Tournament MB (that I'm totally in love with), and some sweet beavers.

 

And before anybody asks, yes those are snake skins. The new babies shed while we were out of state. I didn't notice they were in the frame before I took the picture, and I'm way too lazy to go back and reshoot.

Did you take advantage of TW's sale on that Lews Tournament MB? I ask because I missed it and am looking around for a good price on one.

Yessir, I did. I missed out on the 8.3 model, but I managed to ****** the 7.5:1 you see here.

Yeah I was considering the 5 for a deep crank reel. Missed the sale until it was too late, which they'd take back orders!

I have a LFS in 5.6, and I like it quite a bit, FWIW. I've got another in 6.8 on another setup. They're solid.

Yeah if I went with a Lews as a deep crank reel I'm not sure if I'd want the MB, BB1, LFS or some Super Duty version.

If I'm honest, I wish I hadn't bought a 5.6. I don't do enough really deep work to justify it, and I should have recognized that. The LFS is a legit reel for $100, though. I don't have any personal experience stacking it against similar-priced stuff from Shimano or Daiwa, but I don't regret my brand choice beyond wishing I'd just got a ratio better suited to how I like to fish.

So far this what I have collected.  Bought 3 bags or everything gander out doors had of blk  blu shadow Christie critter( that color is hard to find).   Also out fishes for me other christy critter colors.  
 

bought surplus store out of the yum pbj craw chunks in various sizes $1.50 each. 
 

bought 2 package kalins 5 inch twisters tails in blue pearl/S&p (these I’m thinking northern mi Clear deep lake smallies). The white I’ll use for trailers 

 

bought some havoc grass pigs in pearl from Walmart that I want to try as trailers on spinner baits, swim bait, or chatter bait 

 

discovered zoom brush hogs late last summer so bought another package. Watermelon red.  Last year I bough a lot plastic and brush hogs were in the lot.  Took me untill Labor Day but, I finally tried them and they turned what would have been a disaster of a day into a good day the last 1.5 hrs I fished 

 

finally chrome blue deep diver kvd jerk bait.  This color is hard to find around here.  1 jerk bait if I can keep the northern s from stealing them 

Oh and as I stated in another thread I bought this carbon light 2.0 combo with. X-mas cards.  7 ft mh with really high gear ratio 

Yeah I meant to buy that specific Lews Tournament MB but acted too late. Was looking at it as a deep crank reel.

I got the 7.5.1 gear ratio a couple of months ago for the same price from Dick's and was impressed by it and was searching for a cranking reel and this was one of the lowest gear ratios I could find and then it went on sale for $80 again, so it was a no brainer, they are nice reels, especially for $80. I definitely like it more than my SLX and it's close between it and my SLX XT.

Yeah, I've had it in my cart a few times. I wasn't sure if you got it at a different site with some $ off been debating between that and a 4x4 knocker

Don't know for sure but couldn't find them on the Jackall website.  So that was the first thing that popped in my head.

I did the same thing last year with SK Shellcrackers.  Looks like they didn’t discontinue them and now I have like 30 packs of them kicking around my house.

I mostly use the Shellcrackers as jig trailers, I think I literally have a life time supply.
