I recently got a few of their quake lipless baits, and they are beautiful. I can’t wait to throw them this year?

I got a couple of the THUD models a little while back. They're true to the name. Super deep knock, comparatively speaking.

Those Provokes have become my favorite jerkbaits over the past year. I caught a ton of fish on the perch color last spring.

Awesome. Here's hoping. If they had one in black magic, I would've bought that, too. I fish some dirty, nasty water, and I need all the help I can get.

Well I got my 25 days order and thanks to @A-Jay advice I got some more trebles. Unfortunately the Gamakatsu ones he suggested were sold out so I got some standard EWG trebles to try.

as for the jerkbaits, since I became proficient with them last year, I picked up a bunch of the shadow rap series on an earlier sale, and took advantage of the 25 days sale to add some higher ticket jerks.

How come when we become proficient at a tactic do we need to add like 30 more baits to our boxes???

Nice Selection ~

Point of interest:  you may find that when replacing jerkbait trebles with 'standard' and not short shank length trebles, the hooks might come together & tangle; especially if you plus sized them at all.

btw- I'm digging that 130 perch pattern . . .

Unfortunately the pic came in upside down, but I thought I ordered the 1x 2x short mustard hooks you suggested, but looking at them, they are only slightly shorter than the gamakatsu standards. Did they send me the wrong ones? Just checked the part numbers on the mustads and they match the site at least.

That Jackall perch pattern is amazing. They have just the right amount of orange, most companies overdue the orange.

The top one is the first part of my tackle warehouse 25 days order. The second one is stuff I found in a box on the trash route we run at work. I was like YEEAHH!!

My comment was in reference to using the Standard Gamakatsu Trebles in lieu of the Short Shank Magic Eye model.

As for the Mustads - I use TG76NP-BN - can't read these packs pictured, but if that's the same # - I think you're good.

Hey A-Jay, speaking of the TG76NP-BN I am having just a ridiculous time finding any in size 1 in RED as Tackle Warehouse is out. Thought a simple Google search would do it but nope. Being such a fan of these hooks like I am I was curious if you had any ideas?

For whatever reason that size 1 is MIA ?

The Only place I've seen them currently is here . . .

but you'll pay to play

btw - I just purchased 2 pks - 6 left

Yeah, $7.22 for a 6 pack is not very good at all. TW had the 11 pack on sale for $4.18 so I would be cool with buying just 1 or 2 packs of 11 and back ordering them if they were just out of stock. Called TW and they said there was not an option to back order because the product was discontinued. That answer sounded fishy to me but that what I was told.

  • Super User

Well, as a man who has been down this road before,

my advice is if you like the hook, pay a little more for it now while you can get it.

Because once it's gone - if you are able to purchase them, it will Be a Lot More $$$$.

And I didn't realize that the red was being discontinued - makes sense now.

Just now (like 2 minutes ago) finished loading up on size 2 & 4 from TW so if they do go bye bye -

I should be good For A-While.

Thanks for the heads up.

A-Jay

Yeah, that's what I did too. They had size 1 available and I was going to add it to my order and place it one night but I was tired and said I would do it in the morning. Woke up and it was sold out. LITERALLY you snooze you lose!!!

Picked up another new rod today at Walmart.  A falcon Jason Christie 6ft8 mh mf square bill/spinner bait caster.  It was marked down to 40 bucks from $95.  Just need to find a reel for it. Nice to have another moving bait rod.

also won my first eBay auction on some lucky craft jerk baits.  Got 2 for just over 20 bucks shipped.  Won some square bills tonight for under 20 bucks.

still saving for a nice heavy slop/0pitching/ punching rod

Those Rebel craws bring back some memories. It's been years since I've used them, but I used to all the time.

After heavily fishing finesse stuff the last few years I finally decided to get myself a dedicated rig for Ned rigs and hair jigs. Daiwa Tatula Elite 7’6” ML/M fast action paired with a Tatula LT 3000. I’m itching to get this thing on the water and see how sensitive these AGS guides are.
