Crazy trade out of Boston. If you’re getting paid over $300m and refuse to play first base, it’s a one way ticket out of town. 
 

Devers is a great player but I wouldn’t want that energy on my team. 

With my team out of it, I wouldn’t mind seeing Seattle get their first ring. Especially if they bounce the Astros in the process. Anybody but Philly, though. 

Cubs are in!!!!

As of this morning, with less than 10 games left, the National League has 4 teams that are guaranteed a playoff spot with the Phillies the only team that has won their division.  No team in the the American League has clinched a spot yet.

Cal Raleigh is the first American League player to hit 60 home runs not wearing a Yankee uniform. 

He's also the first catcher ever to achieve that status AND win the home run derby!  That dude's a stud!

So surprised the Red Sox made it in this year and the Yanks/Sox series has been just as fun as ever to watch. GO SOX!

After 15 innings they’re going to be gassed against the Jays. I don’t watch baseball very often anymore but I stayed up and watched it which was easy for you west coasters. I’m dragging my hind quarters a bit this morning. 🥱

@Glenn My condolences. I was pulling for the Mariners. 

@BrianMDTX  Yup, a big disappointment.  I guess the Mariners want to remain the only MLB team to never make it to the World Series....never to get a Pennant. 

 

The sad part is, M's fans already KNOW this is as good as it will get.  There's no "Next year" because the M's will trade away all their star players.  They're not like the perennial teams that almost always make October.  The M's are a 1-and-done kinda team.

 

Oh well.  It was fun while it lasted.

Totally agree. I cut the cable umbilical cord a couple of years ago thinking the Sox wouldn't be that competitive for a couple of years. I figured I'd save some streaming service $$. This year was a total surprise to me.

 

I'm still not sold on the front office doing the right thing this off season though. You?

 

As far as the B's are concerned? I think they're a couple of years  b4 we can talk serious contenders...Hope I'm wrong tho.
