I had 40 in my cart - took about 2 minutes to get the e-mail

Fixed it I wasn't clear lol. Took about an hour fighting the site and my brain to get the order done, guessing the email was a matter of minutes.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi to you all. I'm not as active 'round these parts anymore. Haven't bought anything in about 5 month. Haven't had the boat out in almost 5 months. Really sucks, but it'

Is shimano reels included in the tw sale? I want to get a Curado dc.

It won't show the discount in your cart or on the final page before you submit your order - but it SHOULD show up on your invoice.

Yes, but Shimano, Daiwa, Megabass and maybe some others discounts won't show up until you receive the confirmation email. They will appear as the normal price during checkout, but you will be charged the discounted price. It's like this every year.

The discount is 20%, correct?

On the items that were not discounted in my cart / on the site, they were discounted in my confirmation email and I can also go to order history and they are discounted there for what it's worth.

I have to say TW was still good to me this year. Most of my stuff was only available on their site, so I maybe paid more for 2 items, but that wouldn't have qualified for free shipping on another site so I just got it from TW. Lots of spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and a few plastics for me.

I did pick up the Flambeau Blade krate for 25% off from DSG for 15.81 with tax and no minimum free shipping. Thanks to @RichF for pointing the lower price out a while back.

No prob! Sick deal. Gonna pick one up for my dad and maybe grab another for myself.

Across the board except for a few brands that FIRMLY don't allow it.

Same with my Diawa rod - no hint of the discount until the confirmation e-mail. Does show the discounted price in Order History.

Finally placed my Tackle Warehouse order. I went hunting this morning and had a few other things to get done. Just placed the order and thankfully everything went through and at this time still in stock.

While I was in the woods I did order one of Acadamey’s terminal tackle boxes, I’m looking forward to that showing up!

I am loading my cart up with hooks that are already on sale. Will those qualify for extra 20% off??? Terminal tackle isn’t any fun but oh well

20% off Ethos HD BC reel at Academy.  I've heard these are pretty good quality for a budget price.  Can anyone back that up?

Is this the best price they offer?  I don't need the reel, but of it's worth it I'll pick it up as a spare.

Thanks!

Well, so much for cancelling that order, I can't even get a hold of anyone at Tackle Warehouse. I've been on hold for 2.5 hours. Oh well, I'll manage.

Last time I had to cancel something from TW, I did it through e-mail.

2.5 hours? I had to call twice today and both were about 30 minutes to get to a person

I was actually hoping I would be able to simply change the card on the order. It took me 90 minutes to get everything added to my cart. At this point, I'm not going to bother. I have the cash for it, I was just hoping to put it on a card that has 0% and pay it off over the course of December.

Well I got disconnected around 35-40 minutes in the first call. I just hung up the second try.

I've heard lots of nice reviews on them. Who knows if they will do it again, but they had all of their H20 stuff 50% off for a week around the bassmaster classic last year. I had just placed a big order somewhere else or I would have taken advantage.

If you know how to get around it you can do it

All,

Trying to take advantage of black friday deals.  I have a 9 year old daughter that wants her first spinning rod.  Any recommendations for a good first spinning rod/reel that threads the needle between decent enough gear but not too expensive in case it is damaged, etc.

I'm looking for a medium fast action that could be used for plastics and small swim baits.

Thanks,

Rick

I'm throwing out a range of $100 or so, unless there is a compelling reason to go above.

My recommendation is pick your favorite store with black Friday deals - dick's, tw, bass pro, walmart, etc and find a combo in your price range.  Ugly stick, berkeley, Abu garcia, 13 fishing, lew's and bass pro and others all have usable stuff starting at about $35.  Any cheaper than that and you'll probably end up with junk.

I'm thinking about a Daiwa Revros LT for reel and then see about a rod.  I agree about checking all the merchants in this price range.

I don’t know.  How is it done?
