For clarification- the Destroyer sale isn't for every rod in the lineup. The ones that are included are the Bunker Buster, Otomat, Mark 48, Onager, Warhammer.

Sales like this always make me scratch my head. I could be completely wrong, but considering the JDM line usually comes out a year before USDM we might be seeing some 2021 P5s hit our shores. 
 

If anyone is interested in the Otomat I’ve absolutely loved mine for a range of applications. Topwater, jerk baits, and squarebills (if you like crisp action). 
 

Im interested in the Warhammer for serious punching, but even at $240 it’s tough to justify a single technique rod. The others are a flipping stick and two swimbait rods. 
 

The spinning rod they have as well is a fantastic medium+ rod. It’s does a ton really well. I used one this summer. If you can find Punch Fishings review I feel like he’s spot on with it.

I heard they sold something along the lines of 300 rods within the first few minutes of the sale starting. Crazy if remotely close to true.

I wouldn't count on it. I reached out to them earlier this week to ask about exclusions from the upcoming sale and Megabass was one of the three brands they mentioned.

Usually they give it to you, they just can't advertise it. The discount magically shows up in your confirmation email. Maybe for Black Friday/COVID they don't want to mess with it this year. I doubt it though.

Not saying it won't happen, but my question to them was about manufacturers that would be discounted but that they can't advertise as such. Megabass is one that they specifically said "choose[es] to not participate in our sales."

Not Daiwa because I called them asking about buying a Tatula and he said that it should show the discount after the purchase is made.

Surprised we aren’t seeing more yet. With COVID I thought they would start early to spread out store traffic. I know stores like Target did. 
 

Also has anyone heard if TW is planning on doing the extra 10% off certain brands? Last couple of years my list has lined up well with those brands.
