Finally went to Walmart and stopped in the fishing aisle. Cotton Cordell rattle baits and square bills for $1.96, Luck E Strike curltail worms $1.56 per 10 pack, the legendary $1.00 spinnerbait, Zman Chatterbaits for $2.96. Lots of YUM soft plastics for $1.96. I spent some money.

Got a kick out of these huge markdowns.

Cabela's has the Curado 300/301/301EJ marked down to $194.99/$209.88.  Better than eBay price if you're looking for a proven swimbait reel -

Also the LuckyCraft hardbaits have been discounted further to $5.99 -

Also $5 flat shipping if you spend at least $99, using the code 27FLAT

Use gift cards and you get get ANOTHER 9% or so off...so tempting even though I don't need a reel.

Has anyone tried the g splash popper?  Does it walk?  Having a hard time not getting the g splashes and slender pointers.

I was wondering the same thing when I made my purchase in regards to the G Splash. There is only one color Slender left.

Anyone have any leads on Duo Realis 120SP's on sale...?

The local Dick's near me has some of the "made for Dick's" SK red eye shads on clearance.  $3.97, buy 5 get 5 free.  Limited colors.

No luck finding these at the Dick's I checked. They weren't even aware of a "made for Dick's" version and certainly no buy 5 get 5.

Does anyone know what colors were offered in the "made for Dick's" version?

If you can find a DSG with enough of them, here's the scoop:

The latest incarnation of Strike King brand "made for DSG" baits is called the "Banshee" line.  I'm 99% percent sure the Banshee lipless bait IS a Redeye shad, but only in the 1/2 oz size.  Same oval line tie, same red eye, and in my experience, loved equally by bass.  After extensive field research, I've only seen the following four Banshee lipless bait colors:

- Chart belly craw

- Smokin hot shad (close to sexy shad)

- Simple shad (basic grey shad)- Rojo craw (red craw)

Others in the Banshee lineup include spinnerbaits (exclusive to Dicks maybe) and buzzbaits which have been extremely effective for me.  They also offer a curved-lipped popper and a "pro model" type crank.

Vimage sells closeout Banshee lures and you can see the lineup there:

DSG are having a 5-for-5 sale for the rest of this month, for clearance lures.

Good luck!!

i Just bought 10 series 3 cranks @ $4EA. and got 10 free.  Hard to beat the price.

Most of the clearance stuff at my DSG is red tagged and on a clearance rack, but the Banshee lures had regular tags with a price ending in .97...  At DSG look for any lures or terminal tackle with prices ending in .43 .47 .93 and .97.

Good point.  Usually there is clearance stuff with .x7 endings and plain tags, and non-clearance with non-.x7 endings with bright red tags, and I don't see any reason why.

Huge thanks for this info!!

My DSG/F&S had buy 10 get 50% off clearance lures. We took those down last night and put up new signs for buy 4, get 2 for free. Which is better, since I don't want to shell out $40 right now.

Just checked it out. They got a good selection of 3, 4,5,6 and 7" senkos in a lot of colors. Price range from roughly $4 to $7.

Dick's only had the spinnerbaits in the Banshee lineup. I instead found some Kvd slash 200 jerkbaits for $5.97. They only had 5 of them so I picked 5 Kvd 1.0 and 1.5 squarebills for my 5 free lures. Thanks again for posting about these deals.

Got a BPS magazine in the mail today about the spring classic.  Looks like a lot of their lower-budget rods and reels are on sale.

$50 for the Bps pro qualifier doesn't sound bad to me and $30 for a Berkley lightning rod doesn't either.  I hear they're both good for the money, in case somebody is looking

And a lot of baits are marked down and it looks like terminal tackle and monofilament line is 25-50% off or more too.  Not really seeing anything that  is a killer deal from the looks of the magazine but there are probably some deals if you really look in the store

Got that ad myself today. For $50, the PQ is an excellent reel. I am thinking about picking a couple up as back ups.  Also had 20% off on Invisx although I am not sure how their regular price is.

Dicks has a flash sale going on until midnight tonight.  Several rods and reels are 50% off, and all ice fishing tackle is 35% off.  Plus free shipping over $50.

Power Team Lures is having a cabin fever sale, 40% off many items.

I'm tempted to take advantage of that sale, but I am pretty stocked up on PTL at the moment

I picked up some Lucky Crafts on sale at Cabela's today: a Sammy 128, a G Splash popper, and a 12 foot diving crankbait for $6 each. Is the Sammy 128 any good? I know people like the smaller ones a lot. If they're good I'm gonna go back and get more

I had no intention of picking up a BPQ, but for $50 I'm not going to pass that up.  I generally like Lew's, but for that price it's a no brainer.  And while I love my Lew's TP's, for $99 I think the BPQ is a better reel than the Lew's $99 Speed Spool.   As mentioned above, for $50 that's an excellent reel.  Heck, for $99 it's a nice reel.

Does BPS generally have a bunch of the BPQ reals available at the "special" price? I currently own couple entry level baitcasting reels (Okuma from Dick's and Daiwa Laguna - both available for $30-$35 when on sale) and wouldn't mind stepping up to the BPQs.

The only empty rods I have are an Ugly Stik and a tourney special rod, neither of which I really enjoy fishing with. My three baitcasters are 2 Energy PT's and a Tourney Special. Should I pick up the Pro Qualifier?
