Oh man that 5.5:1 Zillion is tempting since I don't have a crankbait setup at the moment, especially if the 25% off sale items applies to that as well. 300 dollar reel for 100 bucks...we'll see if I can bring myself to it. Of course that would mean I would need a rod too  Bait Monkey looks like he may get the last laugh

Looks like none of the 25 days stuff that was in the sale list got marked off anymore. Will do a minimum order to get free shipping, but still not a lot jumped out for me other than some terminal tackle. Not sure if it is me being picky, or if it is the items being offered. 

 

This is year it felt like they put more slow moving product out vs other years they had some favorites, especially they Berkley stuff. 

Yea, there is not enough compelling stuff to get me past $50, so I am going to give it a pass.  Last year I went nuts and bought all sorts of stuff.

I haven't ordered from TW in a couple of years. What's the deal with their S+H costs now? It used to be that sale items didn't count towards the $50 minimum you needed for free shipping. Do sale items now qualify for free shipping, if it's a $50 or more order?

Same, I was eyeing the 5.5 Zillion to start to put together a cranking setup given how it would have been 100 bucks with the added discount. I had some gift cards I was going to burn but I think I'm going to save them for a bigger purchase next year instead. I kind of want the Muse "Noir" Swimbait rod and an A3 reel but I'm not paying retail for that setup. Might wait until the next Black Friday sale and use the gift cards then to minimize the out of pocket cost. 

I went to town last year during the 25 Days TW sale.  This year I only got a handful of items just to hit the $50 free shipping threshold.  Part of this is that they had a lot of repeat items for sale that I stocked up on last year, and the rod/reel price and selection wasn't as good as they were last year.

I wonder if the Mods would be OK with re-starting this popular thread anew for 2017?

 

My first post was last year to mention that DSG was doing it's usual year end clearance in January.  I have greatly enjoyed the board for a lot more than just the bait monkey-sponsored threads.

 

This year DSG is starting 2017 with a buy 5 clearance/get 5 clearance sale.  The "get 5" are the cheapest 5 of your lot of 10.  I checked.

 

Examples that I have seen on clearance include certain Rage plastics, VMC hooks, Bandit cranks, DD22's and older craw-colored Rapalas.  Exactly what is on sale varies from store to store (e.g. some have VMC shakey heads on, some have certain Rage shellcrackers, some don't).

Not a sale, but a great deal.  For some reason amazon has the zoom centipede for only $1.43, but only in the green pumpkin color.  It's probably a mistake on their part, so if you want some grab them while you can.

For me it's listed as an add-on item, which means you have to buy something for $25 or more to get the price. Can't buy it alone. Likely not a price mistake, they do deep add-on discounts pretty regularly on random things. Socks for like 2 bucks.. etc.

I placed a decent Tackle Warehouse order last night, but it was mostly for Seaguar line. Siebert's got most of my business for having Rage marked down. Amazon basically bought me a KastKing 24 rod rack for signing up for their card which I will cancel anyway, except I ordered the unbranded one. Same rack just no logos.

I didn't but it alone, I also purchased buck perry's spoonpligging from amazon in the same order.  Plus i ordered enough centipedes to last me a year or two.

@Centralinfinesse   Is the Buck Perry Spoon Plugging a book I should read as a person who can never get enough info? It's a book you could read and use the info with other other techniques correct?
