For anyone near Columbia, PA, Susquehanna Fishing Tackle is having a sale event from 3/16-3/18 in-store and 3/19-3/22 online.  I mention this because for the in-store sale starting tomorrow, first-come first-serve, their Loomis IMX rods are 50% off.  That's almost worth camping overnight for.

Not bashing Susquehanna Fishing Tackle but I find it amusing that their Cabin Fever Fishing event is sponsored by Shimano and yet Shimano is one of the brands excluded.

Thanks for the heads up. I will take a peek.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi to you all. I'm not as active 'round these parts anymore. Haven't bought anything in about 5 month. Haven't had the boat out in almost 5 months. Really sucks, but it'

Got a kick out of these huge markdowns.

If anybody lives near Woodbridge, VA, the Walmart there has Missile Craws, Zoom Lizards, and U-tail worms for $1 a pack.  They also have the big spools of Trilene Big Game for $1.50 to $3.50.  There was a bunch of other stuff on the clearance rack as well but those were the only things that stood out to me.

Are you sure that is 50% on Loomis?  Looks like 15%.

Word of caution when ordering items that "Ship from Vendor" from Gander Mountain with all the deals they have going lately....the ship to store and arrive in 2-4 days means that when it ships from the vendor it will ship to the store within 2-4 days. I took advantage of the 20$ off 100 and ordered the Ram D111-U for 80$ after the discount. Waited 2 weeks and it was still at vendor. Gander couldn't give any info on when it will ship and was unable to get a response from RAM for some reason yet I got responses from RAM when inquiring about mounts within hours....The bright side is they refunded me and money was back in account day of. Not bashing..just use caution if needing something quick.

Bash away. That place is the worst!

Haven't seen a bassmaster classic sale, perhaps like one poster said it's mostly specific tackle.

Guess I'm waiting on the April "Tax Stimulus" sale. Anyone know if that's the beginning of April?

Am I the only person that's not a fan of the Kryptek design? Great company. I like everything I have from them just not that design.

It's bad enough when you wear Huk gear and people ask "what does Huck stand for?" or "What's H-U-K?" spelling out the letters. One guy who knew I am a comic fan asked me "Why are you wearing a Hulk hat?" He didn't catch the missing L. I have to tell them it's pronounced "hook" after the pronunciation guide in the dictionary if you look up hook.

How many packs of each? Would love to get my hands on more U-tails, but I can't get there until tomorrow...

American Leg Fishing has Tatula CT Type R's for $120, FYI

Yes. The one across from gander mountain.

To everyone who can't find the Trokar hooks in stock at Dicks (2 packs for $5.99), the same deal is online at their website, and they have more options.  I bought more this morning there, and they had free shipping on order $25+, and had almost every style and size in stock including weighted swimbait hooks

At Wally this A.M. They had 75%off on all fishing clearance like lews speed spool $19 , kvdhooks $1, gamskatsu hooks.75 cents,  berkly lightning shock rod $9:Copy_of_icon_thumright::Captain:

Awesome thanks for the heads up I'll have to check it out when I get home and see if mine has it going on.

I hit up 6 walmarts and some have had excellent clearances in the last month, some have had next to nothing and some have had great deals. Most of the good deals have been picked over, but I've also seen some "new" old stock on clearance in just the past week. Gotta hit them up often!

Got a ton of zoom flukes in colors I like for $1.18 per bag.

Just have to be careful, the "promotional" zoom fluke bags at $1.18 near me have fewer per pack (as labeled) vs a standard fluke pack.  Still a better unit price than most regular fluke packs, plus they have some good colors that aren't as common in big box stores.  Recently marked down to 0.75 at one of the stores I went into, but not all.

As others have stated, I noticed the variety of items on clearance varied from store to store (one had KVD squarebills, others did not), and the timing at which they implemented successive markdowns also varies.  One store I went into had already sold everything off and re-set they new stock, another had only a few rods left, and others were apparently just putting the clearance stuff out.  The pricing was the same even in different states though, unless they were in "deep clearance" mode where it appears the stores have discretion to price as low as they want to.

I posted the same thing on a different thread but the Walmart I went to sunday had 1/4 spools of 12lb Trilene Big Game for $1.50, 10lb, 15lb, 25lb for $3.50, same size spools of Stren mono for $1.50, Zoom lizards and Missile craws for $1, and Zoom utail worms for $1.18.  I did see a few KVD 1.0s for $3 also.  There was also a bunch of pan fish stuff as well.
