Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

Being from Michigan what choice does the poor kid have? He's quickly realizing that the Lions are hopeless no matter what, which is how I became a Bills fan from the Jim Kelly days.

Bet watching them lose four SBs was fun.  At least I got to watch my Cowboys beat them two years in a row.

It's not about winning J, it's about having fun. ?

You sound EXACTLY like a true Bills fan.

Good thing you spotted them quickly. Otherwise you would be much shorter.

My wife keeps sending me these not so subtle hints of how much she wants to get cows. This is probably one of the better ones.

Local power plant lake kicked my butt yesterday. caught a couple small largemouth and a dozen small white bass.

I should have known better. It was 54 degrees and calm. That lake always give me fits in the winter, when the weather is nice.

Decided to take a break and process some of my latest deer.

Fired up the Cabelas carnivore and made 5 lbs of jerky and 10 lbs of deer sticks.

Turned out great. It will get used up, out on the water, trying to stay warm this winter.

Next project is a batch of Andouille.

Elk hunt ended yesterday on the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, these bulls are safe for another year.

Had an unwelcomed guest start tearing our yard up a couple weeks ago, tunnels running all over the place. I was going to buy some traps, but 10 minutes of off the leash time in the yard is all it took for psycho dog to unearth him. Biggest mole I've ever seen.

Good for 'psycho dog' ~  just another one of those little mentioned benefits.

I have been in an on going battle with those little varmints on & off for over a decade.

Tried all types of counter measures with various levels of success (& failure).

All things being equal, very little is as effective as a motivated digging dirt dog . .

Makes a mess but gets the job done a good percentage of the time.

They often bring them to us after they get done "playing" with them; all wet, no legs & semi-softened.

"Hey look what we can do ! "

My neighbor has a well manicured lawn, watered daily and zero weeds.

I have a mediocre lawn. Maybe water once a week in the summer.

I have no moles. He has a mole farm in his yard. Kills at least a dozen a year with traps.

I have found the key to mole control is not have the most inviting yard on the block.

Round 2 of deer processing.

this time made 10 pounds of venison andouille

Sometimes we need a reminder to pay attention and read the labels, I got mine. I love ice cream, and I thought I had bought some seasonal hot chocolate (cocoa), and caramel flavored ice cream. So I was a bit surprised when after the first couple bites, my lips were burning. I don't know who in their right mind wants spicy ice cream, but I guess if I'd paid more attention to the package, I might have noticed the red pepper and the label that said the ice cream was spicy. More than a little disappointed with my purchase.
