  • My favorite, without a doubt is a popper. Pop-X, Pop-Max or Chug Bugs. It’s pretty close to being my most successful lure if it isn’t. I have extreme confidence in poppers. Some popper fish:

Zoom Watermelon Red Flake Trick Worm...I'll catch fish anywhere weightless and texas rigged...   good fishing...

My nicer smallmouths have been caught about equally on Rapalas, Bombers and Bandits.

But, I do like worm fishing.

My favorite lure is a Norman's Deep Little N.  Over the last few years the most productive have been lures with the word RAGE in the front.

Snag proof Bobby's perfect frog. Works pretty nice yr round here. Bruiser baits big stick (6") in close second.

I have a rotation....some years they work better than others and different ones work in different bodies of water better...hard to narrow it all the way down.

I definitely  have a favorite and that would   be buzzbaits . I have worn numerous ones out .  My favorite are  ones I pour .

My most successful bait is the Texas rig . Lizards , worms , craws... the one I caught the most fish on is the black grape Jelly Worm .

I ordered some from Dick's today... The BPS about an hour from me usually has good stock. I hate going there. I always end up like a kid in a candy store and spend more than I planned... ?

My most productive has been Senkos

My favorite is an old Luck Craft crank bait (can't remember what it's called) that swims about 4-5 inches below the surface.  It sort of a top water bait but when fish hit and they just destroy it.

Whatever is working best but that varies during the time of year and season to season. This year has been blackish jugs and creature baits for me.

My favorite and most productive is the same, Soft plastic Jerkbait. It is my fav so I use these lure through  out the year. I use Fluke in Spring and fall as search bait, where I fish faster in water column. I will use Fluke post spawn until summer where I fish slower and let it dance on the bottom. If I see a whole bunch of weed, I'm thinking about Fluke.

Texas rigged creature bait such as a pit boss or d bomb. Also I have been having a good amount of luck with popping hollow body frogs this year. Deps Buster K has been good for me but they are a bit pricey.

Favorite..............Super Spook Jr

Most productive...Jig/RageCraw

My favorite is to throw a frog, but a close second and most productive is a 1/4oz jig, followed by a senko. Those three are pretty much always tied on.

3/8 oz BPS double Colorado black/red spinnerbait with Grass Pig Jr in California color.

Most productive:  1/10 oz. ned.

Favorite lure has to be a Baker BDT suspending crank.  There was a 2 month period of running out to the lake with the one spinning rod I owned everyday it got above 45 degrees.  That lure led me to my "Ah Hah" moment.  I can thank it for slimming my wallet, but also creating a lifelong addiction of figuring the bass out.  Caught some nice fish as well.
