With all this old school classic plastic talk lately (Lizards, Grubs, Tubes, etc.) in the Tackle Section of the forum, I'm curious to know what are your guys all time most classic plastic? For me it would have to be a 6" straight tail plastic worm. Preferably Purple (Junebug) Texas rigged 3/16 or 1/4 oz Tungsten weight with a Gammy 2/0 Offset RB hook. For me this is my all-time confidence rig. A proven fish catcher decade after decade. So whats your guys all time plastic?

The Baby Brush Hog in green pumpkin and the ribbon tail worm in purple  have caught more fish for me than any other soft plastic.

The Baby Brush Hog (as well as my version) in Junebug has been a killer for me too. On one lake in particular it has been the number one producer year after year and an ultimate confidence bait there.

I have caught fish on several different colors of Baby Brush Hogs. I bought a pack of them in Junebug several years ago and never caught a fish on them. I'm not sure I ever got a bite in that color but I catch them on worms in Junebug quite a bit.

Watermelon red baby brushhog...  works for me everywhere I fish around here.

Mann's or Culprit worm, Texas rig. Lead weight, mono line. I like several different colors. I still fish this classic plastic,but have added or modified through the years , as needed

Black 6" Power Lizard , Mister Twister 4/0 Keeper Hook, 1/8 oz pegged bullet weight.

Although the Manns Jelly worm is my all time favorite , I do have a problem with line twist . Manns made the Jelly Wiggler that looked like Mister Twister Phenom .  Rigged tail down  , no more line twist . I still use the Jelly worm a lot because i have several hundred of them but the Phoenom style gives me less of a head-ache .

My first bass I ever caught on Toledo Bend was on a Ringworm.

 

My first 15 bass limit on Toledo Bend was on Ringworms.

 

My first tournament win on Toledo Bend was on Ringworms.

 

My first double digit bass was caught on Ringworms.

 

Gene Larew's 7 1/2" Salty Ringworm in Cinnamon Pepper Neon Junebug Laminate was my #1 goto. Sadly it was discontinued.

Like you, the Rebel Ringworm was one of my first plastic worms (along with Mister Twister Phenom).  For the past few years, I have used Zoom's Dead Ringers, mainly because I hadn't seen any other ring worms that caught my eye.  Seeing the Lake Fork worms, they look pretty good.  If you have used Dead Ringers, how do the Lake Fork Ring worms compare to them?

The Dead Ringer has more tail, it's wider, it takes up half the worm, & the rings aint as "big", tall, I aint sure how to describe that.

 

LFT Worms have more of a ribbon tail but not as long, more of a mini ribbon tail.

This for flipping heavy cover when I need weedless. Bigger profile than a Rage Bug (Even the Baby Brush Hog) and dip the tips in chartruese. 

Looking through my collection of soft plastic worms surprised me how many different styles I used over the years. From 3" a Tiny Weenies to 16" Goliath ring worms. When Roboworm first came out the Zipper worms were the hot item from 3" grubs to 7" shaking zippers followed by a 7" straight tail before thier finesse worms. I don't know how many different worms I have or which worms are my favorite, too many to choose from.

The past decade I use Upton Customs 9" straight tail a lot for brass n glass T-rig worm, both Roboworm and Iovino finesse worms. Too many soft plastic jig trailers.

I really need to go though all the bags and boxes to inventory what I have, never be able to use them all.

A grape colored Creme Scoundrel worm in the 6" size.  I usually fish it with a 1/16 or 1/8 weight.

i threw purple worms forever, mostly Culprit and Renegade. nowadays, the great spotted bass invasion around here has made green pumpkin/chartreuse the odds on favorite, and the largemouth seem to love it too. but it isnt the “be all-end all” choice for me. i still catch plenty of both species on june bug too and wont hesitate to throw it. 

Classic worms:and yes, I fish these.

6" Gambler curly tail worm or a 5" Lizard. I fished for years with those as the only plastics I owned. Kinda thinking about going back to that. 

Old school bait that I still fish is a 8” Mann's Auger Tail worm in Electric Grape.

7 inch Power worm T rigged with a 1/8 or 3/16 weight.
