Lucky Craft is releasing a 198 Sammy. Zman a magnum TRD, which I think is usually a sign of too much fiber ?

I'm just shuddering at what the price of those is going to be...my wallet is already screaming in agony.

I hear you. I'm going to start with the jig/blade box and go from there.

My question is - are they going to have the 'specialty' boxes in 3600 size? That's the size I use.

Maybe @Glenn will know.

The sizes/types of boxes are what they are introducing at ICAST.  Unfortunately, they're tight-lipped about any future releases.

Now...stayed tuned for details about the new Garmin trolling motor tomorrow morning.  :)

Garmin Introduces Force Trolling Motor

Garmin Force

Earlier in this thread, somebody said they wanted a brushless trolling motor...

Check

Somebody else said they wanted  a wireless foot pedal...

Check

Come see the many other innovations this trolling motor has.

Yeah no, a little rich for my blood. Nice rig nonetheless.

About time someone moves the trolling motor game forward. Hats off to Garmin. This thing looks interesting.

That being said.. i'm still keeping my utrex. haha.

Because it's lame and catches dinks.  Not my style.

Hardly... I can catch numbers of very nice bass on the ned rig.  Keep on casting the swimbait and other stuff and I will keep on pulling out 5 and 6 lb bass.  Some people just aren't Midwest finesse fishermen.  I know I am not one to chunk swimbaits and other lures to get the big fish.

The ned rig brings out bass of all sizes for me.  I rarely catch dinks period...  That's all about location.  But the ned rig will get bluegill, catfish, and I am sure just about anything else.  It does not scare big bass away.

Oh I am interested...  I knew I was going ultrex next year.  Garmin has already got my money going all livescope.  Now I can have less wires with the built in sonar.  Plus full integration.  If you are a garmin user and wanted all the nice features, you have no choice but to look here.  I was really hoping they would come in at $2500 or less...

Now to start selling things I don't need around the house...

A great way to sell more GPS units.

Only $3,200 plus installation.

I just have to chuckle.  I hear people say they want all these wiz-bang features, and they complain to high heaven because they drive the price up!

Can't have both. LOL!!

Really not bad when you consider the prices of a top of the line trolling motor and a top of the line GPS system.

This way you have both professionally installed, giving you one big advantage over others in tournaments and having fun watching the screen when you fish for fun.

What the masses want is an entry-level spot lock trolling motor it was a good foot pedal for <$1,000. Doesn’t need to link or do anything fancy. Just hold position and have a good footpedal.

That’s what would really sell.

It catches all size bass except for dinks, but also bluegill...That's cool.  I'm just not into all the "finesse" techniques everyone goes gaga over.  I know all those baits/techniques catch fish (and good size ones too), it's just not my jam.  Yes, to quote others here "nobody is forcing me to fish it."  It just seems like the entire industry is catering to this crowd which makes anglers like me feel left out

On a lighter note, that new Plano Edge terminal box looks like a winner, so long as it's not $50 like the BM one.

From what I have seen from your posts you slay them on a jig. I wouldn't worry about a ned rig if I was you. Keep throwing that jig and killing them man.

I hear you on that.  I was using it before it was the industry thing.  This guy in MO put me on it years ago.

With that said, I don't chase rigs.  I am so old school.  Texas and Carolina where all I used before the bed rig.  I rarely wacky, just recently thought about Neko, and then I just saw a video on dum-dum rig.

Whatever you catch fish on, do what you do.  I am just expanding more because of tournament fishing.

I just watched the BR/Garmin Facebook livestream, the $3,100 MSRP seems like a good deal for all the features you get. Gesture mode...just awesome.

I wish ned would go away

Both fish I caught today was on ned rig. They hit it when they won't anything else. I am thankful for it.

Hobie released the Mirage Drive 360, the PA12 and 14 that'll have it retail for almost 5k.

Just saw that, it looks pretty awesome.

It does.  I believe I'm about to unload my '17 PA14 and switch to an Old Town Predator, though.  I need some hands free reverse, and from what I can tell the knife of a hull on the Predator is faster than Hobie's offerings.

Well, maybe not the Revo 16 or PA17.

Motorguide just introduced their new trolling motor, with a price you might be interested in, plus it says you can hook any brand electronics to it. This is a true cable steer with anchor mode.

Those big boy boats.  I'd prefer the option of a 360 drive on my Compass.
