Lucky Craft is releasing a 198 Sammy. Zman a magnum TRD, which I think is usually a sign of too much fiber ?

Because it's lame and catches dinks.  Not my style.

LOL tell that to my buddy who caught an 8 pounder at chickamauga a few weeks ago on a ned rig while i was catching 2 pounders on a carolina rig

Not trying to highjack this thread, but quick question. On the 2/0 spider slider head, that offset section is very short and narrow to work with. Does the baby menace hold well bc I imagine it being too thick? That’s why I only use skinny 4” finesse worms on that particular style.

It has worked fine for me. Before the pro sliders I used to fish tubes on that head with no issues. The classic spider with the 3/0 hook and the pro slider get the most use now, but I need some more of the 2/0 size because it is a perfect fit for the small yum crawbug.

Because of the hook design I hook it below the midpoint on the nose. To make the menace last a bit longer I flip it 180 to rerig it through undamaged plastic. I am a bit thrifty, but they seem to hit em pretty good once they are properly seasoned;)

What I am learning this year is river fish are hard on plastics. The menace and baby menace only last 4 or 5 fish on the river vs 10 to 12 on the lake. Had one menace get 23 fish.

Went to to do a picture of one, but it looks like the baby menaces are rigged on the 3/0 version because I am out of the 2/0 version.

Hayabusa announced today that it’s coming out with their Brush Easy head with a bigger 1/0 hook. I can tell you from personal experience this is a VERY under the radar jighead...

Still waiting on the Lew’s Mach tie-dye combo.

I called it last year with The Lew’s Custom Black combo best in show win. I thought they would call it the Mach Blackout though.

3 new Trolling Motors

I bet the rage ned bug will be a killer finnese jig trailer.

I've been patiently waiting on the Berkley Frittside crainkbait. Hoping it hits shelves after ICast.

What can you tell me about that new crankbait?

I love throwing a shallow crankbait and had a few good outings with some cheaper flat side crankbaits late last fall and early this spring. I like the Berkley Diggers and other hard baits of theirs I have used so far. I saw these pop up in some "Top Lures" articles for I think BASS and MLF this spring and was intrigued. Berkley has a video from the Classic about them on their facebook page you can find if you search for it. Hoping to pick a few up for the fall.

I wish ned would go away.

Are you being forced to use it? Not sure why it'd bother you so much. Just don't use it if you don't like it?  :headscratch:

Upgraded Big Game kayaks, I hope.

Lowrance has one I think.

Thou shalt not argue the merits or negatives of Ned in every topic.

3 new Trolling Motors

Honestly, this is what I am looking forward to the most. I try to keep it simple and not buy every new bait and "thing" that comes out but I've wanted/needed (kinda...) a new trolling motor since I bought this boat in March and really even when I had my previous boat. I was on the verge of buying an Ultrex a few weeks ago but then it hit me that all these new trolling motors would be released at iCast. My biggest hope is for a trolling motor with ultrex capabilities with the same quality but better price (I know, it's a lot to ask for) and with no bugs. I am a Lowrance guy so I am hoping their new trolling motor will fit my needs. With that being said regarding the bugs, I might wait a bit because anything new is gonna have a few kinks.

I am still excited to see all the new stuff released and will probably end up spending a couple hundred on icast released items.

I heard that Big Bite Baits has a swimming worm style bait coming out, a chatterbait trailer, and a few others.

These are just rumors though ;)

Just keep making stuff in solid blue and offering it in bulk packs. I've got my 100pk of Yomamas in sapphire blue that never leaves the boat. Big contributor to my first tournament win of the year Thursday night too. Quickly tearing through my stockpile of blue Devil's Spears and Pitbosses I use on my solid blue bladed jigs, going to need a replacement soon and not many options out there in solid blue.

Strike King makes their Rage Craw, Menace, and Rage Bug in Safire blue and swamp water blue, which is more muted. Check them out.

I have them, and they're great, but they're also pricey to use soley for trailers. Reactions Innovations is the same way with their backwater blue color. That was the great thing about the Havoc baits, they were cheap and durable so cutting them up to use for trailers wasn't a big deal. BBB are affordable and durable a lot like the Havoc line up was,  and they've been really effective for me too.

Big Bite Baits makes one of my favorite paddletails, the Cane Thumper.  I'm excited to see them dropping a bladed jig trailer.

I am going to say that Minn Kota will eventually figure out how to put their side finding transducers built in to their trolling motors since they own Humminbird - which would be nice as the transducer cable running down the shaft is mighty unsightly.

Personal wish list - inline undewater camera that don't leak or suck, castable depth finder that actually works and not loses signal all the time and here is my biggest wish - for rod manufactures to list the weight of their rods in ounces.
