Looking to get some opinions, what are some baits that every bass fisherman needs

Crankbait:

Jerkbait:

Topwater:

Soft Plastic:

I know there are some baits I wouldn't even consider leaving the house without... what are yours?

Topwater: Rebel Pop-R and Whopper Plopper

Soft Plastic: GYBC Senko, Z-Man TRD and Rage Tail Baby Craw

Leaving out Crankbait and Jerkbait as I have no clear opinions on must have baits in these categories.

My favorite way to catch a bass is on a topwater so for me topwaters are lures that I bring often in my fishing trips. I have other lures and use them when needed.

Crank bait: ???

Jerkbait: ???

Topwater: ???

Soft Plastic: 5” Senko

At this point I really don’t use crank or jerkbaits, and while I have a few topwaters, it’s not something I have any success with. Hoping to change that with my first Whopper Plopper.

Soft plastics? I could name a few (Mann’s Jelly Worm, Zoom trick worm), but if I had nothing but a 7’ MF spinning rig, 1/0 octopus hooks, O rings and 5” Senkos from here on out, I could fish wacky rigs and be a happy guy.

Crankbait:  a spinnerbait is my crank.

Jerkbait: not a big jbait guy but pointers work for me.

Topwater: cant live without my buzzbaits.

Soft plastic: it's just about  punching season so I gotta have my double wide beavers.

Hmm, only 1 of each? That's tough...

Crankbait: Strike King Red Eye Shad (Royal Red, Sugar Daddy)

Jerkbait: Megabass Vision 110 (GP Stain Reaction OB, Mat Shad)

Topwater: Booyah Pad Crasher (Night Train)

Soft Plastic: Tie! Jackall Archelon (School Bluegill, JL Craw) and Berkley Pit Boss (Perfection Blue Fleck, Black Blue)

Been eyeing a WP myself...what size did you go with?

My must haves would be-

strike king 1.5

shadow rap

swim jig

There are other things I like to have around, but I literally couldn’t be bothered to go fishing without these....

When I leave the dock I must have 6 bottles of water in the cooler & Nitroglycerin in my pocket.

Crank- kvd 1.5 in sugar daddy, rapala dt 6 and 10 in yellow perch, some sort of straight retrieve lipless like a cotton cordel spot, some sort of bottom contact lipless like a rapala rippin rap or a jackal tn60

jerkbait- rapala shadow rap, with as many pike as there are in my fisheries I can’t financially throw anything nicer

topwater- river2sea bullywa2 size 65 frog in little Allen color, river2sea rover or bubble walker

soft plastic- 4.8 keitech fat impact in sun gill, 5” senko GP, 4” chigger craw GP, strike king fat baby finesse worm

so much for keeping it simple I guess

I got a 75 in Perch. Looks “bluegilly” and that’s most of the forage fish in these ponds, so I figured it may be the best color. We’ll see!

I'd delete the jerkbait, and sub a spinnerbait, but it's a yes to all of those, most places I fish.

My lure selection changes greatly throughout the year. But I'll always have a Super Fluke tied on. Sometimes on 4 rods rigged 4 ways. Herring lakes.
