Anyone here have a flat top grill?

Mulling around buying one but I'm not sure how much use it would get. What are you guys using it for? Full meals? Vegetables? Breakfast? Do you use it regularly?

I personally wouldn’t use it much even though I love vegetables and would cook veg on it. 

We don’t cook breakfast enough to justify the cost and I’d rather have protein on the grill.

My dad has 2 Blackstones. He uses them all the time during the warm months. He’s cooked for us a few times and the food is always amazing. I’ve pondered getting one, but for now I think I’m going to get some cast iron for the Pit Boss. Here’s a breakfast he cooked for me and 6poundbass one morning last summer.

Girlfriends brother has one..he's made us smash burgers a few times and they turn out fantastic.

I have a 36" Blackstone. I use it a lot during warm months. It's great for cooking a large variety of things. I have yet to master hash browns though. LOL

If you have enough people to feed you cant beat them. A lot of space and more thick hot metal than you can get indoors. They take up a ton of space though, and are a limited-trick pony. I use a two-burner cast iron griddle for most of what I wood do on one.

I grabbed a 2 burner, 36,000btu, 28" flat top today. Price couldn't be beat.

I was originally thinking about getting the Camp Chef sidekick, which comes with a 16" flat top, for my pellet grill but I'd have to remove the sear box if I wanted to use it and I use the sear box all the time. I've been eyeing the Blackstone 36" for a couple years but just couldn't pull the trigger. I was at Menards today buying pellets for the Camp Chef and a couple in the parking lot were getting ready to load the flat top in their car. I asked him about the cost and with the rebate it was under $200. and then the 2 of them started talking about the versatility of it, yada yada yada. I came home and asked here and elsewhere and I was sold.

I just got a Blackstone 22" flattop a little over a week ago. Went smaller to be able to use it at home and still be small enough to bring along on camping trips. Got it seasoned up Sunday, haven't decided what the first meal made on it will be yet.

I have a built in, small flat top on my range.  We use it almost every day.  Before that, I used an All Clad pan that was like a flat top, but non stick.  It was about the size of a large cookie sheet, and covered three burners.  I also used it outside on the charcoal grill.  I'd love a small, dedicated, commercial style flat top in my kitchen.

Yes! I've been lazily looking for a good plancha to use on my gas range.

Yes.  I've been slowly replacing any non stick with their stuff.  I'm keeping my 20 year old stainless pots and pans because they're fine still.  Seems like I get about 10 years out of the non stick.  There's probably nothing I can do about it.  I expect this to last at least as long.  It is THE BEST for doing bacon.  This drives Michelle nuts, but I drag it out to melt slices of cheese for my BLTs.  Nothing sticks!
