My Go-To jig color

Featured Replies

Had to switch out the reel on my jig rod so I took a pic of my go-to jig. These are green pumkin with 1/2 a tab of brown mixed in. Trailer is a Zoom super chunk in GP but this one has changed color from sunlight.

Yes but a finesse jig works better.5a8f70a593aab_morefinessejigs.thumb.jpg.14bcdaaa9e204dcd0822d28908d0f831.jpg58f8dd4d97d0e_GPjig.thumb.jpg.59d227b969831e61bbde55214e48450d.jpg

Looks nice! Do you split that 1/2 tab of brown, 1/4 on top, 1/4 on bottom? Looks like an Alabama Craw or Delta Flare trailer would look nice on that.

Two 22 strand tabs of green pumkin and 1/2 a tab of brown( I actually have about 9 different browns) that I just use the pencil tool. I want the brown to mix with the GP just to breakup the silhouette.

I will send you a couple of "Kent Craw". You're close, but missing the blue.

Not a big fan of blue? I know everyone loves it but it just hasn't done much for me.  If anything I would add a couple strands of orange to the first bait.

I'm primarily a river fisherman so it depends on what stretch of river I'm on. I'm always looking to match the crayfish

sandy bottom crayfish - tan brown with a bit of rust

rocky bottom crawfish - watermelon and black with a bit of red

I let the crawfish tell me what color to pitch/flip. Changes throughout the season.
