The older I get.  The more I miss summer.

In a month and a half I'll be looking at iced over lakes all teary eyed :(. Mid-march I should be able to fish. I just won't think about all that yet. I've got some good fishing left to do this year down south.

Fishing tomorrow and a friend will be joining me later in the day.

2 months it will be January and the spawn in Florida.

Today it was a hot 90 degrees in SoCal, with a early spawn for sure.

Tom

I can usually find pretty good prices on airfare from mid-January until the end of February.  Usually by then I've cleaned and organized all my gear changed out hardware on my tackle.  All the cabin fever activities, if you will.  I go to warmer weather, and hope to bring it back with me.

My favorite lake surface temp low this year was 66 degrees in February, High in Sept. was 78 degrees.  If my shoulder keeps getting better, I hope to be in my Kayak landing DD. bass on buzzbaits during the Christmas Holidays.  Sure do miss ice fishing.

Spent the day in the woods in a mix of snow and rain today. Was definitely not a topwater day, but we did bring home two deer for the freezer though ??

They're saying la Nina this year - means colder and wetter for us up in the north.

Great Lakes all need another fill up.  Some big freighters were not filled to clear the bottom in some places.  The real problem place, is Montreal. It is right on the St. Lawrence River water level. Talk is they want to move it to high enough ground to allow a year around city.  We will see.

East Texas has a February buzzbait & the spinnerbait bite is ridiculous.

If they publish one more YouTube video and mention the leaves beginning to change and the great fall bite that's coming, I might lose my mind.  I'm like dude, I mulched all my leaves already and we got snow this morning ?

Right? We had snow, 40mph winds and icy roads on my way to work. We already had a morning last week when the temp was only 18.

We choose where we live and put up with climate. Ours is ideal weather wise otherwise it’s the pits.

29 degrees and snowing right now as I write this... only 152 days til average ice out date, but unless you ice fish (which I don't) its 181 days (yeah 6 months) til it’s legal for us to fish for bass again here in Minnesota ?

Ugh!  Remind me not to move to Minnesota.  Wow.

Pouring down rain and 42 today....well, for the past week actually.  Flood warnings abound.  Going to be a very wet and cold winter.

Ummm - go through the ice and you can catch/keep LMBs until end of Feb and C&R SMBs for the same period in the southern zone...keep SMBs in the northeast zone.

Come on, Chris...thought you knew the regs here.
