Am I nuts buying Tatsu ?

Ok I'm breaking down and ordered 2 spools 15 lb Tatsu from Sportsman's outfitters for 70$ . I know it's supposed to be the best but the price is making me vomit. I generally don't like flouro but I'm giving it one last shot. Wish me luck.

Okay, sounds good. Comparing a $12 spool of 330 yds to a $40 spool of 200 yds that you have NEVER used just proves a lot of our points. Those that have actually used it, thinks it is worth it. Those w

Yep. You're nuts for spending that kinda money on flouro. Then again...... I have 52 rods in my garage so what the heck do I know? ? Seriously, I hope you like the line and it lives up to the hype for you.

I'm going the other direction with line. I just picked up a couple spools of BG in the tests I'm running low on in XT.

I love Tatsu.  I bought the first one using the $100 credit for joining Amazon Prime and liked it so much I bought two more. Now I have 3 of the 1000-yard spools.

I use 20lb Tatsu and I am totally satisfied with it and I hope you are too. Goodluck

Thinking about the 20lb Tatsu myself…wondering how many yds I can get on my Metanium!

Great stuff. Depending on how you spool, you'll get 4-6 reels filled, and you can easily get 3 years use per reel fill if stored properly making it fairly cost effective.

I was wondering how long it lasts on a reel.At that price I can't deal with changing line constantly.

I’m sure you can get enough yards on there for the intended use? I use mine on a Gen4 revo sx and use it for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, jigs, Texas rigged plastics, and paddle tail Swimbaits and feel the line does great for all those things….. I probably could get away with 17lb tbh

That’s basically what I’d be using my set up for….anxious to try it

What are going to use it for? Do you have a favorite knot for FC?  The San Diego Jam knot has worked well for me with this line.

I love Tatsu and it has lasted a long time for me but if you are use to soft mono, there will be some adjustment.

According to several guys on here Tatsu is more important to mankind than oxygen...apparently fish won't bite baits on other line. So I guess you'd be nuts not buying it...which makes me nuts.

Invisx wasn't bad. I'm. A braid guy and I'm not convinced that flouro makes a difference. The biggest thing I hate about it is when you backlash it's done.if it kinks it will fail . I don't use leaders because I use micro guides and hate knots. I never had a problem tying a Palomar with invisx or red label. I never had knot failures. If Tatsu is just a little softer than invisx I may like it.Using it for slow moving bottom baits t rigs and senkos.

I'm only fishing Sunline from now on,.....until next year.....

If you look at Tatsu or Shooter, 2 premium FC lines cost per yard shipped they are nearly equal cost and performance.

Yep, Tatsu is considered the best

On the other hand, Sunline Sniper and Shooter are a close 2nd.
Considering all measurables they never made me regret using it and changing to anything else.

What's the difference between the two of them?

Shooter is more abrasion resistant.
It’s the better choice for fishing in and around wood, rock and shell.

Consequently Sniper is a little softer and more manageable and has a little less memory, which still isn’t as much as other premium flouro lines.

To me Shooter has just a tad more sensitivity in the higher test pound range

At age 73, I have finally learned it’s the Indian not the arrow.

life IS about choices though, good luck with yours.

HEMI !!!! THE ULTIMATE ENGINE !!!

I like to throw my lures in garbage too much. I’d hesitate casting where I went with it.

I use it for leader on my DS rods.  A spool goes a long way.
