Muddy Water

There's a few different ones.

Most are presented close to cover and or close to the bottom, if not right on it.

Something that gives off a little thump like a spinnerbait can work;

think Colorado blade.

As @A-Jay said, Colorado blade spinnerbait would be my first choice. A paddle tail swimbait on a flashy swimmer would also be a good choice. Outside of moving baits, dark colored jigs or soft plastics would be my next choice. Black and blue, straight black, black and red would be what I would start with personally.

In order, a june bug Big EZ with a keel weighted bladed hook, a chrome and white trap, then a spinner bait as was mentioned.

I like to throw a few lures when the water is chocolate milk. One is a Citrus Shad type color Swim Jig. I also like to throw June bug Texas rigs or Jigs in cover. I also throw some Chatter baits in the same colors as the Swim Jig. Sometimes I also throw Citrus color crankbaits. One more is the double Colorado blade spinnerbait or a painted willow blade in bright white or neon orange.

Black spinnerbait with a copper blade . Colorado or willow . I like copper because it doesnt flash as brightly  so the bass is more likely to hit the black silhouette lure .

Big Chatterbaits with orange, white and chatruese. It's money.

Sunny and muddy flashy, chartreuse and white cranks

cloudy and muddy black, red,  chartreuse cranks

spinner bait:  sunny a silver blade .  Cloudy copper or brass

chatter bait:  sunny white or chartreuse

cloudy black and blue

sunny or cloudy black and blue jig

What lures do you throw when the water is muddy, real muddy?

Lipless crank, dark colored artificial worm,  spinnerbait with a colorado blade, or white paddletail swimbait.

Black n Blue jig or Trig TIGHT to cover. Backs of coves where creeks enter is often productive.

Apparently I was supposed to mention, Lunker Lures Triple Rattleback Jig.

How deep are they?  Do they want it moving or slow?

1. As nearly everyone has said; black and blue jig with big, flappy black and blue trailer

2. Vibrating jig, dark colored and I highly, highly recommend the "bubble blade" available on the @Siebert Outdoors Fogy:

https://siebertoutdoors.com/products/ols/products/grid-iron-g2-mata-jig

Under "blade color" select Bubble Blade.  This thing catches fish when nothing else will.

3. As nearly everyone has said; large spinnerbait

4. Red or dark colored squarebill and the LARGER the better.

5. T-rigged or wacky Berkley Maxscent General or Kingtail in a dark color.  The Maxscent stuff is outstanding and the Kingtail is a giant worm with a big, flappy tail.
