Hi all. New member looking to get back into fishing after a long stint of focusing on hunting and long range precision shooting and reloading (which costs a fortune now).

I have lived in Mid-Missouri my entire life and recently moved with my wife and daughter right next to the Moreau River. I have a lower-end fishing kayak (Perception Pescador 10) that I plan on using right now since I can drive my SxS just down the gravel road to a slab and unload. Makes it very convenient. Plan on buying a Bonafide SS127 once I recoup some funds from buying gear that I felt I needed. I have purchased quite an assortment of rods/reels, terminal tackle, and lures after having researched for several months. Blessed to be able to afford what I felt was a good base. Eventually once I get the hang of what works in the river I'll move on to larger bodies of water (Osage, Gasconade, Lake Ozark, etc).

This all being said, I know only a handful of Kayak fisherman locally... but hope to run into more folks down the road. Excited to get on the water and learn.

Best,

Darin

Welcome to BR ?

Was into precision shooting and reloading myself but shortages forced me into precision airguns, won't look back.

Hello and welcome . I understand what you're talking about when you mention the insane rise in reloading cost . I hope your choice to get back into fishing is as rewarding to you as it has been for me .
