So……….how would y’all fish these conditions????

 

 

If I had to fish it, I would fish it really slow. Drop shot, or a slow moving 10in worm. Probably would not catch anything, but that is what I would throw I guess. 

I'd probably trailer around to Duke's Creek for the next few weeks. 

I'd take a fork because we're boiling fish.

I’ve fished water up to 95 degrees, fishes just like normal. The hard part is trying to handle the fish, their metabolism is racing in hot water 

To be clear, I have no intention of fishing there.  I have in the past when the surface temp was 105.  It’s our winter haunt because of the warm temps. Usually stays above 55-60.  When I did fish it in the summer we would almost exclusively fish the feeder creeks or the deepest holes in main pools.  They can be caught.  ?

Fish the other side this time of year.

Actually, going to the Rappahonock River Saturday.  The biomass in that river is unbelievable.  

i'd fish the spawn in Dec-Jan.

Everything leaves the hotwater outlet here in the summer. That's where I discovered my depthfinder temp readout just starts flashing at 99.9*. 

With a net, a lemon wedge, and some Tony Cachere’s seasoning.

I have limited experience with hot water discharges . Its a current that cools down as it flows across the lake .This  current went across the lake one to two hundred yards , into a cove then back out  in the lake . Where the water left that cove is where I caught largemouth on worms . If I encounter it again I'm looking for cover , structure and any current breaks in the flow .

there is one in NM.  my brother said winter fishing is nuts.  steamy and nuts.  

They quit discharging hot water at our steam plants after the Kingston disaster 

The only lagoons I’ve fished are the waste water system out in the county.
