Any hockey fans?

If you are a hockey fan who’s your team and how are they doing this season? Also have you ever been to one of their games?

I am a Bruins fan. They are doing excellent.  I have made the 6-7 hour drive to Boston for three games. The most notable team I saw them play was the maple leafs. It was an awesome seeing two original 6 teams play in person.

NY Rangers, we aren't doing great so far, I thought we'd be doing better. Used to go to the games all the time when we lived in NYC. Wife worked for a company that had seats at the Garden, and most games they had extras, so we'd catch a bunch of games, right on the glass too. She claims not to have done so, but I'm sure she hid my Jersey when we went to go see them play Philly in Philly, and we are still trying to work out the time she was sitting behind home plate at Yankee stadium for a the World Series, while I was out to sea with the Navy.

@Deleted account I believe you have a good wife to hide the jersey going to see them play in Philly. My brother and dad are flyers fans. I also can believe you are still trying to work through the World Series game that would be rough.  Thank you for your service though!

Grew up watching Booby Orr and that bunch in the 60's & 70's.

I played hockey through my childhood so I love the sport. I’ve been a Wings fan. Growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s were a great time watching the Wings, especially through the bitter rivalry with the Avalanche. I was fortunate enough to go to the Joe and watched them play the Bruins from Curtis Joseph’s (Wings goalie at the time) private suite.

I don’t follow them or hockey as much as I used to but I’m starting to watch it more. The Wings have Stevie Y in front office now and a new coach and we know what Stevie Y built in Tampa so hopefully he can bring Hockeytown back to the glory days.

I used to go to quite a few college hockey games having watched Michigan, Ferris State, and Lake Superior State. College hockey is a lot of fun to watch!

Being from where I am, the leafs are the team most follow around here. After a pretty slow start, they’re on fire right now, but I’m sure as usual they’ll probably choke come playoffs, but a guy can hope I guess. I’ll be watching tonight though to see if Mitch Marner can break the leafs consecutive games point streak. Be cool to see him break it.

Yeah, I know she thought she was helping, she knows how I feel about Philadelphia sports teams, and I've seen first hand how rowdy yall can get. She was working LP and security when Philly won the Super Bowl, and I did get into it with some Ovechkin fans when we first moved down here.

Well, Marner did it! 19 games in a row with at least a point, a new record on a team that’s been around for over 100 years, that’s a heck of a record to get.

@Deleted account yeahh it’s a mess in Philly. I am about an hour and half from there. I do not care for the capitols. I think they gave trotz a raw deal.  I actually watched the eagles win while I was at a bar is Boston how ironic is that.

@Way north bass guy that is a great accomplishment and having a slow start to boot

Well. considering my dad was from Canada and his parents were from Russia hockey was kind of a thing in my family. Dad had a brief stint with the Niagara Fall Flyers (Jr. A) and I played through my junior year of college until I blew out a knee.

I grew up a Whaler and Bruins fan and I've had the pleasure of meeting a number of greats including Orr, Howe, Messier, Fuhr, and some others. Michel Dion was a former goalie with the Penguins and he went to our church and was a regular playing golf with my father and I.

But I haven't followed the sport in forever. I don't think I could even name one player in today's game. That's off because hockey used to be such a big part of my life.

The Boston Bruins extended their NHL-record home winning streak to begin a season to 14 games with a 5-1 win against the Colorado Avalanche at TD Garden on Saturday.

With 20 wins in 23 games, Boston (20-3-0) also matched the NHL record for fewest games to reach 20 wins in a season held by the 1929-30 Bruins (20-3-0) and 2012-13 Chicago Blackhawks (20-0-3).

That was a fun.

I actually prefer college hockey over NHL.  It’s a fraction of the cost to attend and there’s usually more offense. Plus the atmosphere with the students and band is far more entertaining. I went to college in St Cloud, MN and went to a lot of mens hockey games for St Cloud State when I was there. They are nationally ranked #3 right now. Ice hockey is very popular here and Minnesota is nicknamed the State of Hockey. They sell out the Xcel Energy Center here in St Paul every March for the boys state HS hockey tournament. 19,000 fans for high school hockey!

I grew up playing it until Bantams. I wasn’t very good though when I was a kid. Too small and always got hurt. I still play in a recreational non-contact mens league every spring.

The Bruins are ridiculous this season.

Not really . I've been to a couple of Blues games and watched them win the Stanley Cup that one year . I have never seen the movie Slapshot but plan on watching it today . Showtime is running it .

Dallas Stars, it's been a fun season so far. #1 in the west and playing fun, exciting hockey. Jason Robertson is leading the NHL in goals, 3rd in points and has an 18 game point streak. Pete DeBoer has come in and shifted the play to a more offensive style and it is paying off. I haven't been to a game yet this season but will after the new year for sure.

I am not sure if I want to get into hockey as Seattle now has a team. I would have loved to learn the game as a kid, but I lived in the tropics so fat chance in h-e double hockey sticks.

We have a weird name but at least the logo is somewhat cool.

When I was a kid I use to fall asleep at bedtime listening to the Blues on the radio.  Now I fall asleep watching them on TV.  They have been all over the place this season.

I sleep the best when there is something on tv I want to be watching

Life-long Bruins fan here but living in the Midwest makes it hard to really stay up on things. My hockey enjoyment is now most watching local college hockey and my oldest son's league.

Bruins are having a great year... starting to feel a little like 2011, especially if they can tap into their inner Tim Thomas once the playoffs hit. It's been a nice treat to have so many games on ESPN+ instead of just catching them randomly on a national game.
