68 years ago today, I was adopted!

 My folks told me as soon as I was old enough to understand, and we celebrated my adoption every year , on this day.

 For anyone who has adopted children, thank you. If you are thinking about it, please do.

 My life has been amazing because my parents chose me , and I have been grateful, every single day.

And so are grandparents.

Our son came into our home 12 years ago, he was 14 months old at the time. We tried having our own kids for several years, didn’t work out for us, so we went the adoption route. Like any parents, we’ve had our not so fun days from time to time, but it’s been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever had the opportunity to do in my life. 

I apologize if I came off crass in my last post. Myself and my daughters biological father are the male influence in my grandsons life because his father decided fentanyl was more important than his child. Babydaddy took his dirt nap 3 years ago. I'm too old for this **** but that kid gets every ounce of my attention. OP, you are very fortunate you had folks that chose you. My grandson is very fortunate myself and his biological grandpa aren't shitheads.

I adopted 2 of my kids legally , after marrying their mom,  and also raised 2 grandkids. I’m pretty sure they’re glad.☺️ All I know is I love them very much.

Because of DNA testing a new cousin found me. Very successful and appears to be an outstanding young man . Being put up for adoption is the best thing that ever happened to him and he knows it . He likes to fish too and says some day hes going to travel here and go fishing with me . I'm looking forward to meeting him .

love this.  I remember some country singer was interviewed about his kids.  he said two were adopted.  when asked which two, he responded..."I dont know, I forget".

I have an adopted son. He told me the other day that I was the best dad he’s ever had. I then retorted that I was the only dad he’s ever had and then we both  laughed.
