Yeah he's still got a 3 pounder to get rid of.  It's going to take 30 to be in the top 10 today

Yup, keep doing the same thing that ain't workin, brother.  Don't adapt.  Makes me feel better about my decision making when I'm fishing

Lee Livesay weighed in 3 fish for a total of 8 pounds, 4 ounces.  Didn't he win the last two Elite events at Lake Fork?

He definitely won in 2021 with 112 lbs or something crazy including a 42 lb stringer

He lives on the lake. Did his boat break or something?

The top 10 on this one is a cool group of dudes.  I hope Taku wins.  Agree that he's one of the most likable elite series anglers on the circuit and he's a total hammer.

Taku will have one major issue going forward that he has alluded to in the past. The bass are so heavy he can’t lift them. Dude is hilarious

I have no idea.  I didn't know he lived on the lake.  Doesn't seem like he could do that bad even if he tried.

I don't expect a number of the guys in the top 10 to hold there after tomorrow.   There's hope still for this derby not to be scope fest, day 3 and 4 will be shallow days, and I bet shallow plays tomorrow.

The beauty of this truly professional sport is that the competitors are humble human beings, 80-90% of the guys are just like me and everybody else in this thread.   No other sport has more relatable competitors than the Elite Series imho.   I want almost every one of them to realize their dream, a dream I only wish I had the tamales and talent to pursue.

His boat didn’t break. He was shallow most of the day, not on fish, and not making adjustments

What a gut-wrenching roller coaster of a profession. Christie wins the Classic a few years ago, then places near if not dead last in the next tournament. Robert Gee killed em at Toledo Bend placing 4th overall and could seemingly do no wrong, but today he's dead last in 103rd place with one 2-9 fish. Talk about being blasted out of a cannon without a helmet. Fujita did terrible in the Okeechobee Open a few weeks ago placing at 193rd place, then slays them at Toledo. Just a crazy swing of fortune.

Anyone who can keep it together over the course of a season and do well in this arena has definitely done something special. Not an easy task. It's hard not to be happy for anyone who can raise a blue trophy.
