ya the store I go to will do no tax for me when I get an imx pro or my latest purchase was a stradic that I got for $289 Can. no tax. Not a bad deal considering they are now up to I think $330 plus tax.

Not trying to be argumentative but I own this reel also minus the shallow spool and I’m having a hard time believing it’s going to be capable of casting a 1/16th ounce lure. I’d like to hear your experience when you do use it along with the complete setup if you wouldn’t mind sharing.

Got the reel yesterday. Fits in my palm. Put it on the BPS Crappie Max rated 2-8 line and 1/16oz - 1/4oz lures. Right in the wheelhouse. Ultralight spool is just that -- very shallow. Did notice a little play once installed. AI says once the regular spool is taken out and replaced with the shallow spool approx. weight of the reel 6.75oz.  Weather is in the mid 70's here and have a couple of golf outings this week. Next week all free time given to Bass fishing. Confident it will work with 1/16oz. and other opinions are always welcome.

Decided I wanted to get a used reel to try repainting as a winter project.   Found a 2017 Scorpion DC that looked rough shape in the pictures.   Cost me $28 off the auctions.   Arrived yesterday in a huge tube.  I thought something was up with the shipping cost but figured maybe it had something to do with shipping overseas to Canada now.  Then paid $29 customs and service fees.    
Anyways…. turns out the guy shipped me out the reel on a 1st Gen Poison Adrena Rod in excellent condition.

Recently, fished using the Royale Legend II with BFS ultralight spool using 10lb braid on the BPS Crappie Max lite casting rod casting the Beetle Spin 1/16oz and Rebel Teeny Wee Craw at 1/10oz. Casting was approximately 40 to 60 ft. sometimes 70ft with mild to moderate winds. This is purely my estimate of the distance. The reel will cast these lures. Had one minor Birds nests that was quickly resolved. Used KVD line conditioner. Caught 2 dinks releasing them wishing them good luck out there.

My overall grade: B minus.

Decided to roll the dice on a used rod from Amazon, that price was too good to pass up with their return policy. With some Amazon points it came out to $155 shipped.

Rod showed up in brand new condition, still in the plastic and still has plastic on the cork, the only missing item was the Fuji paper tag on the guides. Had a previous customers return label in the tube so I assume it was just a model mix-up.

@ATA I ended up with a Tatule elite P/F from Amazon for ~189, braid from TW during their 15% off line sale. Full rigged combo for less than MSRP of the rod.

Sweet, Love that, I do some saving on my last two BFS but not as much as you , Cool combo.

I picked up another P5 Kasumi Six Eleven. I got lucky and found a really good deal on it in the US. 

 

Here may be the downside of my Bait Monkey purchase.... I bought a KastKing Mg-Ti Elite. A guy at a local shop showed me one he bought earlier this spring and I was impressed. I couldn't get it out of my head.  So one good coupon code later, I ordered one. This is my first KastKing reel. The ones I have seen in the past didn't look to be something I would spend money on but this reel felt way different than anything else I had seen from them.  

 

I decide to pick up a poison ultima 7ML from fish-field. They are the only one I see online that is still at 889.00 and also have 20 percent off.

I’m gonna need about $100 worth of fishing line. 
 

I purchased some SPRO Broneye Prop 40 for my BFS. Got them on sale but for me still a little pricey. Beats the ones from TEMU lol. They are 40mm, weigh 1/5oz.. Have a Gamakatsu #1/0 (303409) NSB EWG Double Hook
