@Glenn I agree, DK was getting interfered with on almost every single play. The refs missed a ton of calls even though Detroit had almost 200 yds of penalties. The ref lives 15 minutes from me. 😉

The Goff TD catch was awesome.  That guy had a game.  18 for 18 passing and a TD catch.  Quite a feat for an NFL quarterback.

Last night cousins turned in only the 25th 500 yard passing game in the history of the NFL

There is still plenty of criticism out there about him.  Especially here in Vikings land where he played for 6 seasons.

You just cannot convince some people that he is a quality quarterback.  He threw for over 500 yards, he led his team on a game tying FG late in regulation, and he led his team on a game winning TD drive in overtime.  All against a divisional opponent in a prime time viewing slot.

Think about this.  Had the Falcons lost, they would be a 2 game deficit against Tampa, and lose the tie breaker against them.  With the win, they now lead the division and have the tie breaker.

If the bucs could have gotten a first down, he ends the game by throwing an interception tho 😂

Hate or love the Falcons, they've delivered the two best primetime finishes of the season.

All 5 games have been won or lost by 8pts or less by them, it's a safe bet that the Falcons will provide the viewers with an exciting game.

I’d have to disagree, the Lions Seattle game was the best so far this season.

I mean the Lions won by almost 2 TDs, no overtime, no last minute score to win......I think you're just a Lions fan 😉

I agree, last night was probably the better game overall. The Seahawks Lions game was entertaining because Goff caught a touchdown though.

From a statistical standpoint the picture becomes a little gloomy regarding Cousins.

16 - 47 against teams above 500. 😳

Most Falcons fans are like me, we consider ourselves to be fans of the worst franchise in the NFL.    I've been watching Falcons games for over 30 years, they never change.   Regardless how good or bad Cousins is his ceiling for winning is capped by a historically bad franchise.

I expect them to lose every game, so if they win 7 or 8 games a year it's at least enjoyable to watch them.

We all know the pre-determined Super Bowl winner anyways, congrats to the Chiefs, the NFL couldn't have picked a better team 😀

Well you had a pretty good run there about 2010-2017.  You had Matt Ryan and the NFL's best kicker during that time, if I recall.

Baltimore vs Cincinnati was the best game of the year so far.

Definitely a fun one. Albeit I haven’t watched much football so far this season ☹️ I will also add I really enjoyed watching my beloved Chicago Bears beat up on the hapless Carolina Panthers😃

I think the last mL of adrenaline finally left my system after that game! After a 0-2 start, the Ravens are now atop the AFCN. Been a crazy five weeks!

Jets head coach Robert Saleh has been fired this morning.  His record there over the course 3+ seasons was 20-36.

  • Global Moderator

In essence it was really Rodgers who fired him they never got along since he was signed.

I heard this morning that if they would have won Sunday the Jets would have been in 1st place in thier division.
Haven’t had time to figure it out but if true the owner wanted a change and you know Rodgers wasn’t going anywhere

He got his own OC and WR

I don't think Rodgers has played well but of course it's not his fault. 😁

Broncos playing better makes me feel good about going to the game this Sunday.

Hey, anything can happen at anytime.

Look, the Giants beat Seattle in Seattle, sorry Glenn,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well not really, been a Giants fan since the days or Y.A.Tittle throwing to Del Shofner

  • BassResource.com Administrator

Nah, no reason to be sorry about it. I think I said before the season that the Hawks wouldn't make the playoffs, and I still believe that.  They're just not very good.

Also, I think the Giants are underrated. They're a better team than their record suggests.  So in mind at least, it was exactly the outcome I expected.

I doubt I'm going to watch this Thursday's game.  The 49r's are going to blow out the Hawks in dominating fashion.  They're going to expose just how bad the Hawks are.

Their defense is pretty good. Their offense is still a work in progress.
