Favorite Hi Viz Braided Line

Featured Replies

What’s your favorite Hi Ziv Braided line?  I have used Seagar smackdown and liked it just wondering y’all’s opinions.

Sufix Promix.  It works and the color lasts a long time.  There's not much more I could ask for, to be honest.

Though, I usually buy it because it's cheap and easy to find rather than because I'm looking for it.  I tend to not worry too much about braid.  I'm not saying they're all identical, but I've yet to come across a braided fishing line that either failed to meet or exceeded my expectations.

Now, fluorocarbon is a different story...

I mainly care about how the line holds the color

Vicious no fade braid in yellow. By far the best I've ever used in 30 years.

All my spinning rods are spooled with PowerPro hi-visibility yellow, 10 pound braid.

Seems to work well.

YGK Upgrade Green on a baitcaster and YGK Ohdragon on spinning.

I also use pink YGK OLLTOLOS Finesse, YGK OLLTOLOS Lure Special, YGK Jigman multi,  and Sunline Almight in pink but the above two are the best when it comes to visibility.

If I had the money, it'd be Smackdown - but it's either Sufix 832 or Yo-Zuri Superbraid...both in Hi-Vis Yellow.

Cortland master braid has become my favorite, even over 832 which I used for a long time. They have a hi Viz yellow. I'm hoping they come out with chartreuse soon

My 3 combos with braid right now have either Sufix 832 30#, Sunline 8 carrier 60# or Power Pro 30#. My ML casting rod is getting some 10# 832 or 12# Sunline on it when the Revo BF8 arrives. It'll be on my finesse plastics rod.

I don't see a high visibility line as a requirement, but I do like the neon green 832 a lot.

It’s great but man is it stiff

Hercules...Hercules...

Hercules no fade, stuff just doesn't fade.

Sufix 832 in coastal camo, especially when it’s on sale

I have Suffix 832 spooled in yellow, neon lime and white on different spinning reels in various tests. (8,10,15)

I just spooled up a new reel with the Seaguar JDM PEX8. I've only fished it a few times and I can't tell if it's the new reel or the line, but it's buttery smooth.  It just seems to float off the reel. (in a good way)

yup another suffix 832 in yellow here as well. Works!

I used to fish power pro, 832, have since swapped to p-line tcb8 and won't fish anything else. And the color holds(green going on 3yrs if not longer) so that in yellow is my go to

I've been using regular Power Pro yellow on my spinning gear but it doesn't seem to hold it's color. May have to make a switch.

I usually use moss green power pro but when I couldn’t get green I’ve used white and yellow power pro as well with no issues

I have been a huge fan of 10lb high viz yellow since I started using it...very good bang for the buck and have had no reason to look elsewhere...I see a couple of others have mentioned YGK I haven't tried their braid but their fluoro is amazing so imagine it is also pretty good...IMO suffix is definitely a great value.

832 in yellow on my favorite rod and reel, still have green 832 on a couple reels and will probably last forever.
