The SK Spence Scout. Poes had a version too.  Bring it back.

Rebel Wee R.  I loved those little dudes. The models with cross hatch finishes were my favorites:

The YUM Zellamander.  I have less than 20 left. It is my smallmouth Carolina rig killer.

You could make a silicon mold of them and make your own.

  • I love those. I break open one pack a year.

  • I personally love these threads because I know what to look for at lil local shops with random stuff!   Gotta cast my vote for the Mann's Baby -1 and the Jelly Worms.  I'll never not buy tho

  • Yall laugh if you want to...but I really miss "The Flying Lure". My and my father did some damage with these in black back in the day. I know you can kinda replicate it with a tube rigged backwards bu

Excalibur Fat Free shad isnt particularly incredible but it was my first crankbait fish. Still have it, havent used it in years though.

I feel like bass stuff got it fairly good in that not too much good stuff gets the axe and the stuff that does theres usually something better that was developed. In contrast legendary salmon lures/colors seem to be dwindling every year, most likely due to buyouts of the companies paired with the relatively small regional areas were theyre used=less volume than bass lures=less incentive for big fishing to produce.

Anyone has a Jackal DD79 jerkbaits in natural colors they want to trade?

I have one, but haven't ever thrown it.  Are you using it in early prespawn?  How deep does it get?  Bill is huge!

Anytime I need a deeper diving jerkbait usually in spring.  Bait dives deeper than the LC Pointer 78dd that I normally use.

@ReggieT, you can’t go wrong with chrome blue back or chrome black back. White with red eye was my favorite :)

Awesome! BTW...were they as effective as the Speed Trap?

I think a lipped crankbait is a totally different bait than their non-lipped cousins. I find each has it's own place in different waters. I can fish a lipless crank year round but around here by mid to late June when the weeds grow in, the lipped version gets put away. For me anyway. Both are great lures.

The Flying Lure caught several  bass and crappie yesterday. Those lures are a genius design. Anglers make fun of them but they work as advertised. I was fishing them on a rip rap dam. Could have caught more   but wanted to keep going around the lake.

Walmart made a line of their creature baits ‘Hammer Hog’, that were really tough-so tough you couldn’t set the hook through them, like you could do with Brush Hogs.  What I did was to rest the hook point just barely inside the body, and that worked well.  They were practically indestructible—you’d catch a limit on one bait.  They were inexpensive also.  Can’t find them at Walmart this year, though.  Guess they were too good,

I did some research on Hammer Hogs. They seem to have a really good name and reputation.

They are readily available via EBAY I see. Is a 5/0 hook the only way to go?

Did the Spotsticker brand buy sob/mini-me?  Was just looking at them on TW.  I remember them from 20yrs ago or so...just never bought one.

The Rapala Fat Rap. This was about the only crankbait I fished growing up other than a rattletrap. I still buy every one I see. Plan on making a net display with them for the wall in the man cave.

Excalibur Spit'n Image

Terminator Titanium spinnerbaits

Rattlesnake 4" mini worms

I just got some of the USbaitCo worms that are similar to the rattlesnake worms, but they are smaller. Not sure how they'll do yet but I have high hopes.

For the swimbait guys...Bettencourt Rodent. Super unique rat bait I still have two of the smaller ones but he also made a big version that I wish I had.
