One week of fishing anywhere?

Featured Replies

Throwing big topwaters for Rooster Fish out of La Paz or Puerto Vallarta with a satellite trip to Bacarac.

Might we have time to squeeze in a tequila tasting in Jalisco?!

I’m all about the everglades…period. I can go out there and it’s like being on another planet, which is different every outing. Always nice to go home near the ocean, too. Nothing like a spectacular beach sunrise to get the blood flowing…or should I say the fish lol For me, it’s one or the other that keeps things in check.

Amazon chasing big peacock bass and giant piraiba and redtail catfish. I hope to do it some day but don't know if I'll ever make it there.

Second would be chasing a giant shark for shore. A huge hammerhead, tiger, or bull shark, something so big that I couldn't tell who had who for a good portion of the fight. That would be a rush like no other.

I want to Bass fish in Cuba.

With my brother; a week in New Zealand on the south island chasing trout during the mouse hatch.

Or in Mongolia chasing Taimen.

New Zealand in on my bucket list!  One of the most beautiful counties in the world.

They say never meet your idols. It is equally tough to not select some members on here to fish with. There is one professional fisherman that would be a safe bet to meet, I think. I would 'shadow' Steve Kennedy for a week on the elites, present day.

Don't forget to explain why too.

I don't think he has much to hide, besides maybe some of his baits 😄. I think he would be a really enjoyable guy to be around. I would learn a lot. My only fear is that I would somehow make him nervous 😄

I will always want another chance to fish with my dad. If I had a wish, I think I would like to use what I know now, put him on a nice bass boat when I was a teenager and just go fish for the day.

Cool, creative one!

Dworshak definitely.

Baccarac yup.

Zimbabwe or South Africa would be cool too.

The St Lawrence is magic.  One river but so different in geography and architecture along the length (Mouth to almost A-bay, then the 1000 islands, then length to Ogdensburg thenr there to Massena, let alone Canadian side vs US).  You know I'm not always catching, I need something to look at.

One week anywhere with my dad and brother, both have been gone for too many years.

Just personally, my bucket list place would be Lake Champlain, can't wait too long on that as the sands in the hour glass are getting low

I've long wanted to fish Lake Champlain too.

I would give anything to go back and fish with my younger brother again any amount of time anywhere. Unfortunately he passed away at 21. Aside from that I’m pretty content fishing where I do. I’m fortunate enough to get to fish anytime I want after work or as long as I please on the weekends. Maybe joining Jeremy Wade on one of those river monster adventures would be pretty interesting.

Never meet your Idols is not always true. I was fortunate enough to meet Al Lindner one time and we had a great time talking about the St. Croix river system. His wife actually got upset with us because Al didn't answer her fast enough and she said "What do I have to do to get your attention put walleye sent on me"  LOL. He was open and honest and his love of fishing was contagious. I cannot say enough good about this man.

Linders are good people👍

Tom

I’d go back in time to the first time I fished at the neighbors house on the Sudbury River. Caught a small catfish and was hooked on fishing.

I'd take my dad and go back to Clear Lake in the 90's. He could bring bags of senkos for endless action and I'd take a few OG Deps 250's to be the first one to ever show it to them. 🙂

I'm honestly still pretty new to fishing beyond being casual so I could be more fancy but a week of fishing some of the Great Lakes and into some of New York's fish factories with my dad being healthy enough to fish and brother would be up there.

Flying into remote Canada would be pretty sweet too.

I can tell you from hardcore experience that it is. Nothing quite compares and it’s near impossible to put into words the rush when dealing with these gals!

somewhere that required a float plane to take me and land me on that lake..and pick me up a week later.  I'm not touching the time-travel aspect.  my wish is enough of a pipe-dream. :D

or Brazil.  1 week of Peacock bass fishing would change me for the better profoundly.

You get to fish for one week anywhere with no limits other than you're at one general area for one week. Where would that place be and why?

Maine.  I spend a lot of time in SE Mass and Cape Cod and some time in NH & VT.  Maine is full of great food, people, and clean EVERYTHING.  So why not?

I'm going to piggyback on this one!

I want to fish an untouched Mexico Bass lake guided by KingFisher 😎
