Favorite Bourbon distillery.....

Let me start by saying I like products from lots of distilleries but a look thru my collection will show I'm partial to 2: Jim Beam and Wild Turkey. From Beam I like: Jim Beam single barrel, OGD 114, Knob creek 9, Knob creek 9 single barrel 120 proof and knob creek 12. From Turkey I like WT 101, Kentucky spirit, Rare breed and Russell's 10. If I had to choose I'd pick Wild Turkey. What about you guys and gals?

I think I may be a bit unusual. My favorite distillery is Jack Danials. For mixing (water only) I like Gentlemen Jack 120proof. For mixing with Coke, I like the Black Lable. For drinking on the rocks, I like Jack Danials Green Lable 80 proof. I find the Green Lable to be exceptionally smooth either straight up or on the rocks. The Gentlemen Jack and the Black Lable are very smooth but have a bit of a bite due to the proof level. I don't drink to get high, and don't really care for the alcohol bite, but they hold up better when mixed with anything. That is just my taste of course. And I certainly would not turn down either if offered.

I have been sober almost 6 yrs now, but back in the day it was blantons.

I didn't know they made a 120proof gentleman jack.

I’m a fan of Makers 46. I also am partial to Russell’s Reserve and most of the Kickin’ Chicken flock.

Fat finger typing. 101 proof if I remember correctly.  BTW, another really nice one is the Ezra Brooks Distillers Collection Kentucky Bourbon 101 proof.

I'm from Kentucky. Bourbon for us is a way of life. Jim Beam is my favorite.

Heaven Hill for the wife and I.  We love so many of their products and our household is split by the Larceny/Elijah Craig line (in fun because we both love both bourbons).

Have you been to the distillery?  I can tell you that Russell's 15yr is one of the best bourbons I've ever had in my life and they have a tasting at the distillery that includes the 15yr.  They also sometimes have "gift shop-only" single barrels and the last time we were there the single barrel that they won't sell anywhere else was so good that I bought two of them.

I don't drink but I've toured several distilleries and my favorite is Jack Daniels.  😆

My cousin had a nice one also.  It was a much smaller operation in a holler behind his house.

Did he live on Copperhead Road?

I have not been to the distillery but would like to some day. Its 900 miles from my house and my lady doesn't like whiskey so it may be a tough sell.

We are blessed to be about 4hrs away so we can visit once a year. We are blessed to be AT LEAST 4hrs away or we would be broke and in poor health.

Four Roses

I've got buddies that love four roses but it doesn't hit right for me. I've had the regular beige label plus I own a single barrel and small batch select, just can't get into it. I can tell\taste its quality whiskey it's just not my flavor profile.

I'm not a Whiskey guy but Elijia Craig has been my go to when I have it. However, I recently picked up a bottle of Bookers and it is for sure in my top 5 and might contend with my top 3. Going to try my first Blantons this weekend so well see. Was not impressed with Weller or Buffalo Trace.

I'm more of a scotch person and Lagavulin (16 specifically) is my top distillery. Glenlivet Caribbean Cask and Glenmorangie 18year round out my top 3.

everywhere i visit, i bring a bottle or two of Sonoma Distillery Cherrywood Rye.   it is a great last minute gift.  the stuff is delicious.  when i drank, it was the deer camp booze of choice.   we killed a bottle so quickly.

i took one to OK striper camp and it was emptied by a group of fisherman at the camp next to us.  they loved it.   enough they even quit giving me crap about me living in CA.  hahahha...

My favorite is 12 year small batch from Sisters Distillery out of Sisters, Oregon.  About $100 a fifth.

If drinking normal store bought, I typically drink Maker's Mark.
