Where have you bass fished?

Featured Replies

I know some of us have lived in one spot our whole lives and that is cool, others have moved around, and still others travel all over. What states or areas have you bass fished? If your list is not too extensive, list the states, -  If it is extensive list areas such as NE, SE midwest, Plains, NW, SW, etc. If you live or travel outside the states please play along and share.

I will start:

South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Florida.

its a pacu.  the strongest fish i have ever fought.  i caught it on the Tambopata river in Peru, after we "bribed" some river officials with a grocery bag of twinkies.   the reel was held onto the rod

  • Pretty much every state in the SE, midwest, SW, and NW.   I fished a ton in Alaska, but not for bass (they don't have bass).   If I ever get to fish the NE I'll fill out my Bingo card.

What kind of fish is that? and where from?

I'm trying to remember -- I have fished in each of the 5 states I have lived (MN, ND, CA, NJ, MI), and a few others (SD, WI, PA, NY), but only a few of those specifically for bass, and not very competently in most of them.  I think I have only caught bass in MN, NJ, MI, and WI.  I've never fished internationally.

Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, North Carolina, Georgia

i'm trying to add Minnesota to my list.  my good friend moved there, and the fish appear very catchable.

Those first 2 are worlds apart from the last 3.

I guess it proves a bass is a bass no matter where you go.
