What ONE new bait for 2026 are you telling everyone they should try?

@Bluebasser86 - If microjigs are your thing, i really love the sieberts lil man with a trailer of your choice. Pick your favorite ned rig plastic and just stick it on the back. Basically a ned rig with a skinny skirt. They look awesome in the water with a bunch of different trailers. Just real fishy.

Where do you order those? I have been looking for something similar. Caught a 5.8 on one of those from aliexpress but want something better.

I recommend they try everything, then tell me what works.

I haven’t tried a single new bait for 2026 so I can’t honestly say! But I always recommend people fish worms. Boy do worms work for bass fish.

If you aren't fishing any bigger soft swimbaits, the 6th Sense Super Sweep swimbait. It fishes "bigger" than a similar sized 5" swimbait, probably about 6 1/2. But very fishable on a heavy rod, so no

The whopper plopper! It’s poised to take over the bass world!

Wait what year is this again?

I keep buying, but always end up throwing a Rage Bug. Don't really need anything else from March to November.

The RAID Japan Libero Swimhead in the 5g and 7g sizes (picture below) has been an excellent lure for me

I look forward to trying the Jackall Drift Crab Mini this year

Check out Molix Nano Jig.

Compared to other jigs, you get a lot for your money with the Nano. The skirt is excellent quality silicone thats handtied. The hook is a #1, but its a medium wire limerick bend, which makes it very strong. The painted heads are very detailed and Im not sure what kind of process they use, but the paint durability is impressive.

They work really well on the bottom, but I use them as much or more as micro swim jigs.

I highly recommend the FAFO B-2 square bill for shallow and rocky areas.

Just a little speculation here but I feel cast for cast tubes get bit for me more than anything. All three major speices of bass chew them up like they are starving.

Great looking bait. I choked when I saw the price but you get two and they are fully rigged so not cheap but not crazy. I suppose you can swim or drag this right?

Probably micro jigs. If you're averse to fishing a Ned rig, it seems like they are a good replacement option. I'm really surprised with how often I can get bit on a micro jig when they aren't on the Ned as well, especially with smallmouth on a micro football jig. The little casting micro jigs just catch everything and all sizes, just like a Ned rig, but it's not a Ned rig, so you're safe 😂

I smashed them on Cedar Valley last year on your 1/4oz micro football jigs!.. That's why I just ordered another batch from ya ;)

@Smirak there's a SW 80 but I don't think the fresh water is available yet. They're in the 2026 megabass lucky box which was on sale at the hookup for about 90 seconds before they got cleaned out. In their Sunday video the mentioned march-may official release.

If its like other MB SW editions of FW lures, its just got heavier hooks. LC, Duo and Ima have suspending FW baits, but the SW version will sink or have a slow sink instead of SP. The Karashi has to have a sink or slow suspend to work properly. The sink rate may be a little faster, but I dont see it being too fast. Ultimately the larger Karashi will lilkey be very similar to Duos' Underwalkers and LCs Wander.

@johnnybassjr - yes -- you can swim it or you can drag it - my best success with this lure came early in the year (ie, not much grass/vegetation) and late in the year (ie, grass vegetation had died back) -- it is a lure that wants to hunt deeper rather than more shallow -- I have found the lure to be very durable -- I caught several dozen fish on the lure and have not changed to the 2nd plastic that is included -- I will try and dig up a picture of the lure that I have used

Just put in a preorder for the Karashi 80 also. Haven’t fished the smaller one, but I know it catches em.

Went with ito wakasagi and the gold/black back. We’ll see!

The Nikko Hellgrammite 3 & 4.25" size.

I sure hope those are durable????

$3 a pop for the larger size.

I can see fish loving these though.

50 - 60 bass per bait is usual. As good or better than Elaztech.
