^^ I think so. my friend keeps sending pics of big smallies

It won't be for the whole year, but I'll be adding Minnesota to my list this year. One thing good about being an old fart is quite a few states give you a discount on the fee.

^ Except MN.....unless you're still fishing at 90.....

I think I read something about being exempt in OK if you are born before 1923!! hahah...

Here in New Jersey ;

Regular age 16-64 $22.50 Trout Stamp $10.50

Regular age 65-69 $12.50 Trout Stamp $10.50

70 + No charge, Free

Non-Resident $34.0

Non-Resident Trout Stamp $20.0

So I don't pay for my NJ license, but I do buy a non-resident NY one for $50.0

Don't fish anywhere than my state and I get my license for free. There is some advantage to being 75yo.

$11 for the State of Michigan All Species Senior Citizen rate.

But since there's only open water for 6 months, shouldn't it be $5.50 ?

All of the sudden Minnesota has desirable out of state fishing destinations?

I bought mine about 10 days ago. 13 bucks.

It is only $5.50, the other half is a processing fee. The computers have to get paid too. 😂

Must be AI, there's nothing like that around here.. should probably go bug @A-Jay on Lake Menderchuck..

Shoot me a message when you're in town, I'd gladly join for a float down the 'Sippi or St. Croix.

Renewed the MN license. Wi expires at the end of the month, I'll renew that when I decide to head further east than the Croix.

Florida is free for old fart residents. But I had to buy a PA, New York & Ontario license for this year. I'm hoping it's money well spent.

Knowing you, it will be. Go get 'em, Dwight!

This was a good reminder I need to renew mine I believe lol

I got my MN 3026 license but a need to get an Idaho license too. Let us know when you are going to to be in MN.

I know the feeling. I live in Western NC. My dad lives in KY, and my brother in law is a fishing guide on the Chesapeake bay so usually I end up along with my NC license, getting SC, GA, TN, KY, and VA I have to set aside about 400 bucks just for licenses each year if I get them all.

Each year I have, Pa(home state), NJ, NY, MD, VA and CT. Sometimes a random addition

Florida is freshwater free after 65 for residents. But I have not seen a wildlife officer out there in the last ten years. Way back in the day, they were out doing checks all the time. I wonder if their numbers have been cut !!!!!

Right now my active licenses are GA, FL, and SC. I need to renew my AL and TX licenses soon.

Which, reminds me. I’m still running off last year’s Michigan License. I need to get the 2026 license. I took the April 1st off from work to fish for walleye. April 1st also happens to be the 1st day that we need a 2026 license.

I turned 65 in November of 2025. I am now able to hunt small game and fish in my state without a permit. I do have to purchase the additional permits needed for migratory birds, turkey, and deer, but otherwise, a driver's license is all I need in the state of Missouri.

Got my license a couple weeks ago, few days after the new season was available. $26 resident, all species.

Always gotta do it the first time I happen to think of it, otherwise I'm just going to forget!
