Women and their gallbladders
Its under your right lower ribs. You're too young to have problems. It's usually a problem for older people whose matabolism is such that meals high in fat can cause it to flare up. It can form stones. A stone can pass from the gallbladder and get stuck in a panreatic duct. Once that happens, it forms a life treatening situation. Even if the stone is flushed out, the pancreas may have already become inflamed. Once that happens, hospitalization is required, usually in an ICU. I never gave it any thought until this happened. Once acute pancreatitis sets in, mortality can be has high as 50%, higher if other systems become affected. It just throws everything out of whack.

Women and their gallbladders
Sounds like a silly topic. But it's serious. My wife lost her mother last night, and I lost a very dear friend. 64 years old. It started one month ago today. She was doing some early Christmas shopping and had a gall bladder attack. She drove herself to the hospital but couldn't get out of the car. She passed out and a bystander called 911. They got her into the ER and diagnosed her with an acute gall bladder attack. The took it out that night. The next day, she had pancreatitis. Over the course of the following month, that pancreas infection caused by the gallbladder attack shut down her kidneys, digestive tract and lungs. My father in law was going to retire from his job next year after 46 years. They just got their last son out of the house and away to college. A nice retirement together - gone. Man. I hear it all the time, especially from older women. "My gall bladder is acting up." If you know a woman with gall bladder problems, encourage her to take it seriously. It can turn deadly in a minute. Sighhhhhhh.

Carolina Rig
Could be. Give it a whirl. On the few occassions I've tried them, they produced well, especially in fall. I don't have a good reason why I haven't done it more. But I plan to. I bought several packs of the pre-rigged weights from Strike King just today.

Sebile lures with the sparkles and oil
Sebile makes several lures that are filled with what appears to be oil with sparkles in it. They make crank baits, jerk baits, lipless cranks, etc, with this stuff in them. They've been out for awhile. Just wondering if anyone owns any? I went to a tackle store today and noticed that some of the lures that had obviously been on the self for awhile, that the glitter has settled to the point it was all stuck together and wouldn't even come loose with vigorous shaking. It all looks gimmicky to me. Just wonder if anyone has used them and if they've experienced the settling and sticking of the glitter.

Question about Yozuri UltraSoft on a BC
I use regular YZ Hybrid, 12#, on some of my baitcasters and it handles fine. Never used the KVD stuff on it - never felt the need.

daiwa repaint
Who puts a reel cover on a reel while they are unhooking a fish? Don't worry about the battle scars. They give a reel character.

Xcalibur Jimmy vs. Lucky Craft Sammy
I can't help you with the Jimmy, but I've tried other Xcalibur baits, like the XR50 and 75 lipless, and their twitch baits, and they are excellent. Excellent hooks, too. Xcalibur makes a great bait at a reasonable price.

Huge monster Bass!
Fantastic! I love seeing stuff like that.

Need Advice On First Baitcasting Reel
I don't know that either of those reels ar bad, but I think you can do better for not a whole lot more. I'd recommend an Abu Garcia Revo S or one of the new Shimano Citica Es. Both go for a little over $100 (msrp) but you can probably find a good deal on a 'new in box" reel on Ebay. Both these reels are well made and will last you many years with proper care. Best of all, your reel won't take a back seat to very many more expensive reels.

Can anyone give me feedback on my purchase?
Sorry, just a lame attempt at humor. Do what Catfishsays. Give it whirl. Penn makes reels, but also puts their name on reels made by OEM manufacturers. I've never heard of that particular reel, but that doesn't mean it's a bad reel. Looks like is has a nice frame, and is decidely Abu Garcia Morrum "looking." It's not a Morrum for that price, but it could be a great little reel. You won't know until you try it. Let us know.

Under 18 and like free stuff? Take a guess!
$15,293.67. I've seen the price-stickers on Megabass.

Can anyone give me feedback on my purchase?
Yes. I prefer Pepsi to Coke, too. Good pick.

MICRO: SNAKE QUESTION
None, as far as I know. But I've seen snakes survive and thrive with horrific injuries. I have an Eastern King Snake that I captured a few years ago that had two gaping holes in its side with flesh and bone exposed (attacked by a raccoon or opossum, I think). I kept that snake and decided not to put it out of its misery. I treated it with betadine and here we are years later that snake is in nearly perfect condition, save the huges scars it has. It's increased it's weight by more than 200%. I've seen many snakes out in the field that were fat and happy with just one eye.

The end of a great line of rods :(
All Star has dropped their American Classic line. These were great rods. Well made, sentitive, super tough, and gorgeous to look at. I'm gonna miss them.

Spinnerbait rod....whats your set-up?
I have 4 rods with which I routinely use spinnerbaits: I have a Team All Star IM10 6'8" "Spinnerbait Rod" (Model TAS 806C) and two All Star American Classics 6'8" Spinnerbait Rods" (Model ACSBR2). These are great rods. All of them are MH/F but the tips are a wee bit soft and they will present a spinnerbait very nicely. Apparently, the American Classics have been discontinued ( :'() but the IM10s are still being made. The IM10s are about $120, the American Classics about $100. The other rod I use, which may have a grip with a length you would like, is the Fenwick HMG GT66MH 6'6" rod. Likewise, the tip on this is a wee bit soft and it presents spinnerbaits very nicely. About $120. http://www.fenwickfishing.com/prod.php?k=76590&sk=76589&u=*** Click on the GT66MH to see how the handle compares to the other rods. I measured mine and from butt to trigger is 8 1/2 inches.

Deps Tuberinger
T-Rig, you'll have to get some and post a review.

can't get the darn handle off
You have to tighten the drag all the way down, then push the drag star in towards the reel, then you can unscrew the handle. Look at the last photo on the first page of the Patriarch review. http://tackletour.com/reviewpfluegerpatriarch.html

Snake Identification
They are absolutely gorgeous snakes. Their metallic eyes are stunning. Pigs have a reputation among snake-enthusiasts as having an extremely fast and accurate strike.

CAPITULATION!
Too many people are dumping their stocks and buying fixed funds. But Warren Buffet is buying stocks. So am I. Shares of my S&P500 Index Fund are selling for under $9 a share - the lowest I've seen it in some years. I'm buying as much as I can afford. I'm buying Diversified, Small Cap and International Funds, too. The prices are too low now not to buy. We may not have hit rock bottom, and I may see some more loss, but my shares are way up. Sooner or later (I think sooner) stocks will start trending back up. There's money to be made in all this.
