  1. Ahgagagagagaga!!! Funny!! He sure is one BIG BASS player (bass guitar, not fish:o)
  2. 66-68 at night and off after around 5 AM.
  3. I SMELL food and I gain weight:o( I like RW's explanation best:o) You "high metabolism" folks have it made!! Wish I could eat as much as I wanted and not gain weight! Heck, I have to work out 1 - 2 hours a day AND limit food intake even after putting in a full day of work to loose any weight!
  4. Frog: as I previously said, the nicotine patches WORKED great for me and the nicotine gum has worked for others I know who successfully quit smoking! The patches, combined with chewing sugarless gum REALLY takes the edge off and helped me get through the first HARDEST 3 - 4 days off cigarettes! IF you decide to use them, get the 21/22 mg STRONG ones to start with. I ended up cutting them in half when the cravings lessened after the first week (and they WILL LESSEN the longer you abstain!). You've already made it this far and I certainly hope you make it all the way and become an ex-smoker. Your lungs and body will rejuvinate itself completely in a year or two, depending on your diet and any exercise routine you care to follow. GOOD LUCK!!!
  5. I'm CONVINCED!! Starting one today (good thing all the info from this year's trips is still fresh in my stale mind:o) THANKS, guys!!!
  6. Swimbaits. BUT the water's still cold and the season's still early:o)
  7. Being a relatively new member (found and joined BR on Oct. 12th, '07), I know that Glenn and several of the other members have been on BR for almost 4 years now!! ALL the advice I have asked for and just plain read in the posts/archives is absolutely FANTASTIC!! IMO:o) I value everyone's input and opinion even if it conflicts with my way of thinking or philosophy (on fishing or life matters). Currently, RW has set me on the "path of enlightenment" in regards to Fat Ika's and I intend to use his recommendations this coming Sunday to "land a PB" (probably won't happen, but I'm sure gonna have FUN trying and WHO KNOWS!!!). I have also read some great advice/reviews of fishing tackle and rods/reels/lines on the BR forums and was therefore able to make "educated" decisions on what I let the Bait Monkey make me buy! I haven't actually met anyone on BR except my Boss that I persuaded to join the forums a couple of weeks ago. I AM looking forward to fishing with several of the guys who have PM'd me and asked if I would like to get together with them once I get back to Indiana in July! I would genuinely like to meet anyone on BR who would like to meet and/or fish with me (come on you So CA BR members - there's gotta be more than just me:o) Best advice (so far): "SENKOS, and Fat Ika's, and Yo-Zuri Hybrid, oh my!" )
  8. Congratulations on a superb catch!! That's one NICE bass ya caught! "Here, fishy, fishy, fishy!!")
  9. Since I normally fish with my Boss on his bass boat, I always take the back so he'll be free to operate the trolling motor and electronics up front. I'm more comfortable with that and don't see why being in the front is an advantage to begin with. I can cover a 180 degree area of water in the back while he has the other 180 degrees in the front. As far as making the decisions as to where the boat is going and how we're going to fish a given area once there, we normally discuss that prior to heading out/moving. We also continuously talk about what the current water depth is, the bottom contour, structure, and available fish below. IMO:o)
  10. Post that caused me to be labeled "self righteous" has been deleted. Sure wish "righteous" had been spelled right.
  11. KEEP at it my friend!! You CAN do it!! Munch on lots of carrot and celery sticks. Chew lots of sugarless gum. Use the nicotine patches (they WORK great) or the nicotine gum to "take the edge off". Try to drink plenty of WATER and take several DEEP breaths when you get THAT urge! Drink some soothing GREEN TEA. It will give you a little caffine and boost your respitory system. HANG in there!! After 3 - 4 days your body will pretty much have cleansed itself and you WILL have cravings less and less!! IF possible, start some exercise program or just take some walks. Exercise really helps take away the cravings for cigarettes and coffee. BEST of LUCK to you!! VERY hard thing to do, BUT one of the BEST things you can do for yourself and your life!!
  12. I watched the first couple of episodes and they weren't ALL that bad. The female terminator is HOT, HOT, HOT!! Lately I've forgotten to DVR them so I'm kinda out of the loop as to what's going on. Maybe I'll catch up during the reruns as long as they don't conflict with the upcoming new season of "Dancing With the Stars")
  13. An "oldie but a goodie"! Still funny whenever I read it:o)
  14. Welcome to the BR forums. This is one great group of guys and gals who possess a tremendous amount of bass and just plain old fishing knowledge and expertise and they happily share that with anyone who asks. BR is the best bass forum on the net, IMO:o)

  16. A hearty WELCOME to BR!!! Best bass forum on the internet, IMO:o)
  17. Make and year?? Looks like a killer deal for $800.00!!! Hope I can find something that nice for that much when I get back to Indiana!!
  18. Even though the metric system is quite easy to understand and learn, just think of the money that would have to be spent modifying all the speed limit signs and car speedometers:o)
  19. "D*mn Yankees" (may have been the inspiration for "The Natural"!) "The Natural" "Pride of the Yankees" "Major League" "A League of Their Own" "61" "The Babe" (with John Goodman) "Angles in the Outfield" (corny, but funny and heart lifting) "Bull Duram" "Long Gone" (HBO movie that was hilarious) "Field of Dreams" (honorable mention) Those are ALL pretty darn good baseball movies. "d**n Yankees" with Tab Hunter and Ray Walston has been a favorite of mine for many, many years!! "Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets!" I also love the Twilight Zone episode that I think is called "Mighty Casey" where Casey is a robot pitcher. I always crack up when Jack Warden spells robot "robbott" to Casey's inventor!!
  20. Go get that UNDEFEATED season!! Your passion for it is obvious!! GOOD LUCK to you and the rest of your team!!
  21. Great fish with outstanding color and markings. Someday I hope to catch something like that!!!
  22. Yep, them toothy critters ARE the top of the freshwater food chain, IMO:o) There's a license plate available on the Musky Hunter's website that reads: MUSKY - all other fish are just BAIT! Guess that can also be applied to large Northerns as well (in most instances since there are many accounts of Northerns being reeled in and attacked by giant muskies!!) BIG fish with NASTY attitudes.
  23. A hearty WELCOME to you, Andy!! BR is one Fantastic Forum with many great guys and gals who have a wealth of bass and just plain old fishing expertise and knowledge. You will certainly enjoy all the forums on BR!!
  24. Welcome to THE BEST bass fishing forum on the internet, IMO:o) Lots of great guys and gals on BR who are eager to help anyone with their fishing related issues.
