  1. +3 for the Pflueger Supreme 8035MG (or 8040MG). Heck, for the money you're talking, you can get TWO Pflueger Presidents (one level below the Supreme) or one Supreme AND a President and have $$$s left over for line:o) IMO.
  2. That's a great looking 6" worm! I'd expect it to do well. Dang, will the "Curse of the Bait Monkey" ever go away? NOPE:o)
  3. Another vote for the BF Goodrich LT T/As.
  4. Ironic, isn't it when Congress doesn't like someone lying to THEM. They are ALL members of the PLA: Professional Liars Association. IMO. However, since this thread is about Clemens: he's most likely lying. Why should he be any different than anyone else who's legacy/butt is on the line.
  5. $600???? I'll give ya $601 AS IS, no questions asked. Man I hope I luck into that kind of deal when I get back to Indiana!!! My Boss used to have an aluminum Bass Tracker that he gave to his son when he bought his new Skeeter. He said for what I need, a Bass Tracker would do very nicely. You got a great bargain there, IMO:o)
  6. I like the 14# Suffix Elite I spooled on my Patriarch last Sunday. You can't go wrong with Yo-Zuri Hybrid in 12# either, IMO
  7. Congratulations! Nice rods! I gotta get me some 6" Senkos for this weekend's fishing excursion to Lower Otay Lake (taking a tip from RW). With all the sun and 70 degree temperatures we've been having the last two weeks, the water temps gotta be in the low 60's! Last time out it was 56-57 degrees in most parts of the lake. Hope you get to use all that fantastic gear SOON!!! I doth thinketh it'll be an early Spring for some reason.
  8. OOPS, I forgot HONDA (I added them to the post). The Hyundai remark/post WAS intended to be FUNNY. I once referred to Hyundais as a "disposible car", kinda in the vein of the YUGO:o) As a car company they have come a long way since then and some of their models are pretty OK in my book. BTW: no need for an apology of any kind. Your comment wasn't misconstrued by me as being brash by any means at all. I applaud Toyota's choice to have the cars built in the USA. We've owned both Hondas and Toyotas and my son had a Nissan Ultima and I must say the quality and engineering in those cars are top notch and they seem to last/run forever. When I sell my HemiBee in a few months, I will probably buy my wife a brand new Camry Hybrid and I'll start driving her "old" Camry back and forth to Indiana when I want to go there. PS: my oldest son is a Service Writer for Kearny Mesa Toyota here in San Diego and he drives a new Prius Hybrid now.
  9. TOO COOL!! I really like Bill Engvall. The movie should at least be funny with him in it.
  10. What? No mention of Chet Atkins??) I'd vote for BB King. I've always liked listening to him play the blues and I hear from others who have been fortunate enough to meet him in person that he is a real down to earth gentleman.
  11. I know IF I ever caught ANYTHING like that, MY bladder would be empty for sure!!!)
  12. My wife has a Toyota Camry and we BOTH love it! I was not poking fun at Toyota by any means. Just thinking about Hyundai and probably Nissan and Honda getting into NASCAR to save face:o)

Currently I have a '98 Ford Explorer Sport 5 spd V6 that I like just fine. I bought it last October and have only put about 300 miles on it since I normally carpool to work with my neighbor. IF I could have any truck I wanted (and I could afford one today IF I wanted to put off retirement which I really want more than a new vehicle of any kind), I'd opt for a Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab with a HEMI so my HemiBee wouldn't be lonely anymore:o)
  14. GatorBK: do ya do your killin' before breakfast or after?? As I said, you are one TOUGH COOKIE to be doing that sort of stuff.
  15. "And here they come, race fans! It's going to be a photo finish! And the #49 HYUNDAI Scamp driven by Asakison Yamakasoto WINS the 2020 Daytona 50*" (*race shortened due to limited fuel supplies). Just a thought:o)
  16. Welcome to the BEST Bass fishing forum on the planet, IMO:o) I was considering getting one of those Foldcats too BUT after extensive research on the net and fishing forums, I found Skookum catarafts and am leaning towards one of them IF I don't end up getting something like a rigid small boat (the Bass Hound is the one I think I'd prefer IF I can get it into the back of my Explorer Sport and not have to bother with a trailer). A small Jon boat is another option to consider. They aren't all that heavy and can easily be handled by a couple of folks. There are really so many options available it's hard to decide. Inflatable or rigid. All things pretty much equal, I'd prefer a rigid over an inflatable for shear safety's sake. Of course I'd wear a PFD with either style small boat, especially since I'll be fishing alone most of the time.
  17. Nickname given to me by the guys at work years ago. I have very short arms with rather large forearms and, oh yeah, I CAN pop my right eye out since it's high impact space-age plastic (I lost my right eye while serving in the Navy). Interestingly enough, my oldest son and I used to sit and watch the old Popeye cartoons together when he was little. Along with the Road Runner, Popeye is/was our favorite!
  18. Almost all of my new rods are Fenwick. I have two HMX series spinning rods and I like them a LOT! Great rods for the price, IMO:o)
  19. I slice them thin and put them on top of the burger.....oops, sorry about that. I thought you said pickle:o) As already recommended: behind the head for smaller ones and through the gills for the larger beasts. And as muddy said: watch out 'cause they can deliver a severe bite! I'd never handle a large one without some kind of leather or thick rubber gloves on for protection.
  20. Long Mike: I TOTALLY AGREE. Like your Dad, my wife and I were adamant about all four of our children getting the best education they could and they did just that. Reading, writing, and speaking skills are an absolute necessity for any type of success in today's world.

Wel "Come back Shane! Come Back") Dis am da place to be. AHgagagagaga:o)
  22. "Baby bass" or "little 'un" although I voted for "dink" which kinda grows on ya after awhile.
  23. Sounds PERFECTLY NORMAL to me:o)
  24. +1 to what Long Mike said. Happens every time I clear the cookies and temp files at work or at home (which I do several times a day to optimize cpu speed and program accessibility:o)
  25. Jack In the Box Super Tacos with Onion Rings and chocolate brownies with walnuts. Apparently the walnuts (or chocolate) did NOT enjoy swimming around in the grease from the tacos 'n rings:o( Unfortunately they both had two exits to choose from. BUMMER!!!
