  1. I recently sold my Shelby COBRA 427SC replica to help me afford my mini-farm in Indiana. 351 Cleveland from a Pantera, 400HP pushing around a 2200 lb car is SCARY. The Cobra was faster than my 600 HP 1969 Dodge 426 HEMI SuperBee 4 spd, but not by much (HemiBee weighs around 3800 lbs) Both cars gather(ed) a lot of attention whenever I drove them anywhere, BUT the Cobra was such an "in your face, don't mess with me" kinda car that I really liked it. I lament having to sell it, but alas, I wanted a place to live in while FISHING in the Midwestern states! IF I should ever win the LOTTO, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. I've also owned several Corvettes. Awesome looking cars as is the one that is shown in this thread:o)

With the right matchup, a good HOCKEY game can provide almost as much fight action, IMO:o) "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out") "Slap Shot" with the Hanson Brothers is one of my all time favorite sports comedies.
  3. Tony is a competitor, that's for sure BUT I have never liked his overly aggressive driving style. I don't recall Dale Earnhardt, who had the distinction of being called "The Intimidator", ever causing as many wrecks as Tony has over his entire career! IMO:o)

Welcome to THE BEST Bass fishing forum on the planet. IMO:o) WOW, is this forum growing in leaps and bounds or what?? I'll be pretty darn close to you when I'm on my farm in Brook, Indiana. Maybe we can hook up sometime and nail a few nice bass (no pun intended:o)
  5. I've got a HemiBee, but I never heard of a DinoBee:o)
  6. THANKS, RW!! A ray of shinning humanity and love amongst all that devistation and horror!! I pray the little fellow does well!!!

Wesley: Welcome to the BEST Bass and just plain old fishing forum on the planet, IMO! A multitude of great guys and gals who are eager to answer any and all questions. Sounds like you are well equipped to do some serious Bassin'!
  8. Poor little guy. I hope and pray that he has some other family to take care of him. There was no mention of that. Anyone have any additional info?? I THANK the Lord that he was saved. I also hope and pray that all the horror he suffered through and will suffer in the years ahead doesn't scar him for the rest of his life. Tonadoes are the most severe and destructive storms on earth and since it's only the first week of February, I thought it was strange to see them forming and destroying things this early in the year. In fact, the weather ALL over the world seems very wacky and changed the last year or so. Could be a climate shift or just a cycle as some climitologists claim. Man, I hope we're not in for a horrific tornado season of supercells like the midwest had many years ago (I think it was in the early or mid 70's??) ALL you folks back East PLEASE stay allert and ready to take whatever actions necessary to protect yourselves from these storms/tornadoes!! IF you have no underground shelter/basement and there has been a tornado warning issued, PLEASE get to a reletive's or friend's home which has one if you safely have the time. ANYONE who lives in a MOBILE HOME should VACATE them immediately during bad weather like that if at all possible. IMO:o)
  9. Ahgagagaga! TANKS, Skillet! I's kinda likes it meself. Rrrrrrrrrrrr:o)
  10. Outstanding catch and great pics!! I always enjoy seeing the success other BR members had!!
  11. Gives a whole new meaning to "wild beaver hunt", I suppose:o)
  12. Awesome, FishingBuds!! I guess the fish better beware! There's a "new sheriff on the block" that'll be out after them:o) That wonderful smile she has will only widen when she catches her first one.
  13. Nah, don't got one and have no desire/need for one. Have bought my youngest daughter 2 of them over the past 2 years. I have the music in my head anyway. Been playing in a classic rock band here in San Diego since 2003 and know all the tunes I care for:o)
  14. Has anyone told Robin about all this??)
  15. Jake_P: OUTSTANDING and THANKS!! As you can see by my NEW ICON, your advice worked PERFECTLY:o)
  16. Hey guys and gals: I hope this isn't a question that's been asked in the past, but HOW do you create/insert a personal icon vice selecting one from the member profile/edit page?? THANKS!!

Welcome to BR! How about a bio?? Where do you live? What kind of gear do you like/use? Favorites- lures, lakes, fish species?? This Fantastic Forum is comprised of GREAT and knowledgeable folks who are eager to answer any and all questions.
  18. RW: I sent you a PM:o)
  19. THANKS, T-Rig!! That was some story and the other world record carp stories and pictures were awesome as well. A 265 lb carp - WOW!! I thought the 84 pounder was HUGE:o)
  20. For a Jon boat isn't there a large wheeled dollie available that you can attach to one end so that you can just roll it down to the water and then remove the dollie?? Heck, with a couple 16 - 20" bicycle wheels and some pvc tubing or cheap angle aluminum you could probably build a dollie that could be collapsable and put in the boat after you got it to/in the water.
  21. Owners are worth every penny spent. IMO:o)
  22. Jig/tube worked great for me last weekend. Sure kept me from getting skunked:o)
  23. FYI: while we were fishing Lower Otay Lake last weekend, we had two guys tell us that they had caught 8 & 10 pounders the previous weekend on one of those huddleston 6" shad colored lures. Guess they are worth the $$$s(??). Any of you folks have any luck with them?
  24. Popeye replied to Josh.'s topic in Fishing Tackle
Well, even though it's not Spring yet, I went fishing last Saturday and we threw almost every type of lure that you can think of less topwaters and the only thing we had any luck with was watermelon 4" tubes on a jig and brown 6" worms with a spiral tail. Since the water was still pretty cold, we worked SLOW most of the day.

I had it bad for about 3 days and then my wife caught it and was very sick for almost 3 WEEKS and she NEVER gets sick:o( In fact, she had to take an entire week off work as ordered by her doctor!!
