Mowing: How it started & how it's going...
I have about a half acre yard that I mow with a 22” deck push mower about once a week, almost year round. Weedeating, edging and mowing takes me just under 2 hours. 90% of the time I love doing it. I also love maintaining the weedeater and the mower. I’m not sure if I’m serious or not…

Need a GOOD spinnerbait
First off Siebert Outdoors compact series has been a favorite for a long time. They’re almost custom at an almost bargain price, and you can get whatever skirt/weight, whenever you want. I have always loved the Stanley Wedge line. They just catch fish for me. YMMV Finally, I like(d) the Revenge spinnerbaits from Birmingham but they seem to be OBE. @A-Jay is 100% correct that a spinnerbait is a consumable, much like soft plastics. Sometimes they last, sometimes they don’t. When they don’t, usually you’re doing it right.

Working to Stay Lean ~
Oh I love it as a warm up and for Bulgarian split squats - but when one shoulder goes bad it gets dicey holding it over your head…#bornin78butdroveitalittletoohard 😀

Working to Stay Lean ~
I’m getting to add back DB overhead press now that my frozen shoulder is thawing. It feels weird but it definitely is key for full functionality. Keep on bringing the vids.

Fishing critic
Look, we spend thousands of dollars to drag a few small fish that wouldn’t sustain our diet out of the water to yell and take pictures and brag about on the internet. This is supported by layers upon layers of technology and commerce. It’s ridiculous from base survival perspective. Don’t argue about it. Be comfortable in what you do and who you are and just move on. People just want attention and content, like this thread.

Minnow Bucket with Aerator
You get a surprising amount of insulation if you use two buckets, stacked. The better they fit together, the better. And then keep the lid on.

Soft Plastic Jerkbait Struggles
Check all your guides for nicks. Two different lines makes me think it’s you or the rods.

Bonafide pwr - what is this thing for?
Back to the original topic… I’m pretty sure that is to thread a strap through to hold something down or in. A further back pic of where it is would help too,

Pet Peeves
Stuff rolling around in the car - I once thought I had a ball joint going bad. Turned out to just be a baseball under the driver seat that would thunk randomly as you stopped. It was kind of under the seat rails and you could feel it in the frame. poor traffic etiquette and people who run red lights. I have my 15-yo looking both ways before crossing if he’s front of the line at lights. It’s a little terrifying.

Budget spinning rod
Daiwa Aird-X in that price range. Or whatever you get, but know that it won’t be as good as the Aird-x at that price point.

Budget spinning rod
Daiwa Aird X and it’s not close.

@A-Jay - well how’d it go???

Trailer hardware
It pinches the mechanism if you just use one and overtorque it. It also gives you some insurance if one fails or leaves.

Spool Play on 22 Bantam
Why are you trying to reel backwards?
-
Jig head color?
No. weight gets it to where you want it. Black, GP, or straight lead, doesn’t really matter. i like white, black, or lead.

New reels
What swimbaits are you going to be throwing?

Potomac Musky Fishing?
Yeah I think you’re going to have to head upstream to see much success. It’s possible you could find some down near DC in the cooler months but I wouldn’t waste the time targeting them. As others have said, get up around Shepherdstown if you really want a musky. You can still target snakeheads, stripers, and gigantic blue catfish in and around DC though. It’s truly a great fishery.

I just bought running shoes from a running store.
I have. I used to run in Five Fingers for most of a decade before that. I am short and stocky with hobbit feet, so the roomy toe box is great. The zero drop keeps me from leaning forward constantly and helps settle me into better form. I still run like a duck and a gorilla had a baby but it’s way more comfortable.

I run in Altras and Inov8s (shorter runs). My feet are hobbit like and those two are a good shape for me. There’s nothing wrong with Brooks or Saucony either.

(Kayak) Trailer Tire Pressure......??
Sir them to max pressure or close to it. Anything less and you will likely shear a sidewall at speed.

Reels Quickly Loosing Smoothness
How/what do you fish? Flipping in matts? Cover sniping spinnerbaits? Dragging jigs? How do you store /transport them? Multiple reels across multiple brands make me think it might be something with the archer, not the arrows. Maybe a use issue or a sandy environment.
