  1. British Columbia Canada just above Washington state.
  2. I'll bet it's Washington state or BC. Looks like he is using a single hook with live bait or a small plastic imitation. One hell of an outing. I just wish he would learn to attach the lip gripper on the centerline of the jaw instead of horizontally off to the side. He dropped that 8-11 twice off the scale.
  3. Happy adoption anniversary day.
  4. Welcome to the club.
  5. Some of the ocean fish suffer the same problem like snook & tarpon when an extended nasty cold front hits the state & gulf waters.
  6. Catt these are worth looking at. They are the favorites down in Mexico at Lake Baccarac because they hold up well to bigger fish. https://hogfarmerbaits.com/collections/rigs
  7. Sad it took 79 days & his body traveled 158 miles before his family got closure.
  8. Congrats on the PB trophy.
  9. Shimano builds a DC reel that self charges with use over ten years ago & Daiwa just now brings out a DC reel that requires a 90 minute recharge? That's innovative!
  10. My reason for posting about northern pike was an example of a large pike eating a small bait which the OP said he already has & intends to use. I have never caught a tiger but have caught hundreds & hundreds of pike and about 20 muskies with true trophies from each species. As you know tigers are nothing more than an offspring from a Muskie & pike. They share both inherited traits. Tigers will hit large baits just like a musky or larger northern pike. But more tigers are caught on smaller baits & on conventional bass tackle because that is what most fisherman are using when they fish for walleye & bass. My take on tigers is that the greatest number caught are incidental catches rather than intended catches by people targeting them. And of those incidental catches most are caught on bass/walleye baits.
  11. Not a tiger but it was caught on a LC pointer 100 series jerk bait with a single strand titanium leader at ice out.
  12. There is your answer.
  13. I talked to Chris and he said he used to sight fish & then throw a live crawfish or night crawler to them on a mag light Loomis imx spinning rod. He was an interesting guy with many different hobbies that he pursued religiously.
  14. I think that bass is a meanmouth , a hybrid not a smallie.
  15. Welcome to BR. Sounds like your a multi-species angler much like big Al. Especially coming from the musky capitol excluding Boulder Junction.
  16. I use the Owner hyper welded snaps in the large size-60lb rated. I have never had a problem or failure with them. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Hyper_Welded_Quick_Snaps_6pk/descpage-OHQS.html#customer_reviews
  17. If you have a backlash with a 2 oz or heavier bait using 20-30 lb braid it will probable snap on a hard cast. That is why you want at least 50lb or heavier braid because of impact strength.
  18. Do your self a favor & take a phone pic of your open passport page displaying your info. It's a big help if you ever lose it.
  19. My first experience with Edgerods. I ordered a single rod Epitome MBR 725-1C August 14th 2022. I never contacted them regarding the build date or shipping estimate. I received an email yesterday that it shipped 1/10/2023 and should be delivered 1/16/2023 by FedEx. I'll update after I receive it next week.
  20. I know it sounds like sour grapes coming from me BUT the national championship was played New Years Eve. Current score GA 24- TCU 7.
  21. The fish on the bottom right was 23” and weighed 6-12. One of my fishing buddies caught a 21” that weighed 7-2. Almost all 22” on Erie weigh weigh 6lbs plus. So it’s all about the girth & the body of water you fish. Your 6.25 PB is a quality fish especially if caught in an inland lake.
  22. All baits vary a little even among the same manufacture. I try to set the winners aside from the others & fish the he11 out of them. You want sinkers, suspenders & floaters as they all trigger bites at different times.
