  1. And this is what it's come to. Our GMC is not only a fine mode of all terrain transportation, but pulls triple duty as a satellite wifi hot spot and max load recharging station. Just finished a week with no power and there is no reasonable estimate as to when that might change. Good Times. A-Jay
  2. Sad to hear this @Catt. An accurate diagnosis isn't always the best news, but at least we know what we're dealing with. Not knowing can be pretty frustrating and down right scarey. Chemotherapy side effects can vary from person to person. Some common ones include big time fatigue, hair loss, nausea and a compromised immune system. Recommend getting ahead of the ones you can. Rest is big, try to eat when you can, nausea meds can help. Follow doctors orders to a tee. And most of all please remember we all have made respect for you and are truely wishing for the very best outcome. A-Jay

  4. Might depend on what it is and who made it. If it's Scuppy's Gumby Mono, I might toss it. However if it's a quality product that's been kept in a climate controlled space void of ultraviolet light, might be OK. Finally if it's Tstsu, you should probably go ahead and send it right to me for proper disposal. After all, I am the Self designated Tatsu recycling center for the Tri site area. A-Jay

  6. After making "our plan", we managed to get in touch with Harmony Tree removal. Quite a lucky break as most of these services, which are coming from everywhere, including out of state, are Booked Big Time. These gents were working up the road as they went by, Lynn flagged them down. Good guys, took plenty of time with us to discuss our options as far are what to do and how to do it. We had already talked to our insurance company USAA, and knew we were covered. Still waiting on the final quote but when all is said and done our property will be void of every tree not a pine and it's A Lot. Still no power here. We'll be ready but the dogs 🐕 will not. 😎 A-Jay
  7. Took my first 'official' recon ride over to local Lake Menderchuck this morning. Just to see. Well despite the total Zero access to anything close to the water, there's actually a slither of open water YEE-HAA. So good to see especially with a natural disaster not even close to being remotely resolved. So I just ignored all the downed power poles and power lines and trees littering the landscape, and smiled at what's about to become once again. Reality. Big Brown bass. The 11th might be a thing. 8. Giant Set Workout Day 3 yesterday. Still no power here(which is getting old) making it another mostly in the dark workout. Got it done though and was pretty sore this morning. GoPro videos are on hold until further notice but I'll be back at it tomorrow. A-Jay
  9. Thanks, Our only connection to the outside world is through the satellite wifi hot spot in my GMC ! The sleet and snow today are surly hindering the repair efforts. A reassessment of the property yesterday revealed it's far worse than I initially anticipated. It will take me most of the summer to clean up. Just in time for the next winter event. Wish I could catch a bass right about now. 😑 A-Jay

  11. Check today's date. 🤪 A-Jay
  12. Hopefully we get power back before that. 😑 A-Jay
  13. Giant Set Workout Day 2 today. Still no power. Trained by candle light. Wasn't very romantic but was stimulating for sure. No video. GoPro doesn't film well in the dark. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  14. Might be next week before we see power. Cell towers are all out. Only connection is in my truck. Property is literally like a war zone. Trees down every where including my roof. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Bhi3jCgu9/ Got a few inches of snow overnight, not helping. Going to need water soon. Not sure where that's coming from. County issued a shelter in place order yesterday which continues today. Good Times. A-Jay
  15. Wishing I had that generator right about now. 😑 A-Jay

  17. Been a truly WILD couple of days up here, especially last night. UNPRECEDENTED ICE STORM took down thousands of trees, power poles & lines. North half of this state is without power and is expected to be for several days. We lost too many trees to count, at least for now as this is still an on going event. Fortunately and so far our home, garage and kennels have been spared any major structural damage. The local power company put out the following statement this morning. This is some scary stuff. "Due to a major ice storm, more than 43,900 Great Lakes Energy (GLE) members in nine counties are without power today. The number of members without power rose significantly overnight after reports of falling trees and extensive damage to power lines due to the heavy ice. Since the storm began late yesterday, more than 30,000 members have already had their power restored with many losing power again after restoration took place. GLE expects that restoration efforts will take multiple days. Damage to the cooperative’s electric infrastructure is extensive with many broken poles and downed wires. Heavy ice has brought down trees both into powerlines and in roadways making them impassable in some locations. GLE line crews are working in conjunction with contractors and neighboring cooperative utility assistance to restore power safely. Tree trimming crews have also been called in to aid in the effort. Generator safety is important during long storms by ensuring that the generator is connected legally using a transfer switch that doesn’t backfeed into powerlines and harm workers. Stay at least 25 feet away from any downed powerline, tree, or other equipment as they could be energized. If power is not restored by 10 p.m. tonight and is required, members should seek alternate arrangements." We are set for the long haul as long as the secondary food freezer in the garage stays cold. Usually good this time of year for 4 or 5 days. Plenty of food, water and wood for heat on hand. The clean up will take several days and involve the Sthil chain saw. Stay Safe 😐 A-Jay
  18. The little trick that I use to help me catch fish, Is to eat right, stay lean and get regular exercise. Helps keep my hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and overlooked feet, in the best condition they can be. Fishing is way less fun when everything hurts. Can't catch them if I can't be out there. YMMV A-Jay
  19. Good Luck with both the meeting and the fishing. A-Jay
  20. Locally, Big ice storm overnight through today and into tomorrow. Going old school. Wood stove, oil lamps, and scrabble by candle light. No power, no wifi or cable & no land line phones. I kind of like that last one. #1883 A-Jay
  21. I will be test flying this Pouce FC leader this spring in 8 lb and 10 lb on my tube rigs. Mainline Connection knotablility seems decent so that's encouraging. But I am hoping the pre spawn fatties will be the final vote A-Jay
  22. I am clearly having a hard time keeping up here I don't know what the heck I even doing anymore. Oh well, off to organize my gumball collection A-,Jay
  23. Sadly no. Package clearly states 2/0 and it looks like it. I will admit to liking the blade (color & Size) as well as the EVO Elite head design quite a bit. Pretty much pot committed at this point so I'm going to fish them and see where they land. Either way I have a few ideas regarding trailers that I'm looking forward to seeing perform. More to follow on that front. btw- do me a personal favor, Please wear your life jacket. A-Jay
  24. I'm pacing myself on those deals. A-Jay
