i really like that colour. it looks really nice.
  2. How do you change hooks on crankbaits. I have done it before and it's so much work for me. I literally struggle. I have all these crankbaits with red hooks and they need to be change. Can I a find local fishing or tackle stores that provide this service? because I know they have store's that repair reels. Do they provide the hooks and such for me or what?
  3. i don't have any norman crankbaits at all, but i plan on buying a load of them maybe next year to add to my crankbait collection. i heard a lot of good things about them as well.
  4. if i caught that fish, i don't think i would touch it... it's so darn ugly.
  5. hmmm you can do a experiment and just hook one end to a rock or whatever that will hold ur hook in place, then set the hook and see what happened. from experience, i have never had any type of braid line break... ever... it just don't break unless it's cut from a sharp edge. I have a pack of 50lb power pro braid that i haven't used yet. i really hope its not the line, but then again, i have hard nothing but good comments about it.
  6. white is my favourite crankbait colour of all times. firetiger for muddy water.
  7. OMG! a 5lb bass in canada is considered to be a big fish. my PB was about a 7lber. that thing is HUGEEEE!!!!
  8. I wish I could fish during my school breaks. Some days I have a few hours to burn. If only a creek, river was around for me to splash in. great smallmouth.
  9. I'm not much of a finesse fisherman so I love crankbaits. They work for me almost every trip. Mainly right now in my tackle box are Bomber Fat Free Shads. They have a tight wobble to them and they work. They are pretty nice baits with a load rattles and they cost about 6 dollars CAD. for shallow runners i like manns baby -1. they are pretty inexpensive as well. Rapala are too expensive for my taste in crankbaits. I don't want to pay 9 dollars for a bait that I might have a chance of losing, but I do have lots of x-raps.

lol... the doubles was really cool... never seen that happened before. not on 1 bait anyways...
  11. what he said... during the early spring of the year, i use small rapala or lc jerkbaits in shallow water and as the season progresses, the fish start to move out to the first drop... the bait fish also start to get bigger and by the time fall comes along, i am using big baits. this applies to match the hatch.
  12. i bought a manns elite waker bait... i'm gonna try it out when i could... i saw a video of it and it looks sooo nice. the action is awesome wicked, hahah...
  13. i think you should research the products and reviews before you buy something... if google doesn't give you information then go to bass pro shop * and look at the reviews of people who have tried it. i was going to say something about you making 1000 posts as well, but i really don't mind. hope this helps. you should really only make a thread if you are serious about wanting to know about it rather than just want to see others opinion.
  14. if i am lucky, i get it once every other week. i wish i lived close to a lake so i can do it maybe 2-3 times a week during the summer. kind of like seeing a girlfriend. lol... like i said. heaven is on the lake fishing... maybe its time to trade in the gf, find a fishing buddie.. jks... ;D

  21. my spinning reel i use 8lb trilene xl smooth casting and on my baitcaster i use 50lb power pro. does anyone like XL smooth casting? i heard it was really weak line... i was thinking of using a different mono.
  22. like most have said. ALWAYS try the reel at the counter to make sure there is no problems. when i bought my most recent reel. i played played with the thing for 10 minutes, basically do everything i can do to it. make sure things are perectly working. I don't wanan take it home playing with it on my lap, reeling very fast and finding out there is something wrong with it whether its 60 miles or 6 miles. save urself the hassle.
