A tube. The color would have to be determined my the water I'm fishing but I can catch bass on tubes in all 12 months of the year.

Love my Quantums! My oldest is 12 years old and still works great! I own 6 Accurists (all are the older model) and 3 Energies (640PT, E770PT and E750PT). I'd like to eventually move all my reels to the Energy line up!

I was thinking the exact same thing. I have 20# Sufix on 2 of my spinning rods. I have 50# Sufix on one of my Flippin sticks and have not had any problems. 50 is as light as I would go on a baitcaster.

Great colors have been mentioned already! I use watermelon/red flake, baby bass, smoke and shad colors with alot of success! One other color that I use in clear water is red shad and have done very well with this color too!

Thanks for the responses everyone! Obviously, I'm only interested in this IF the engine itself is the same size and its only a different carbuator or other small modifications that increase the horsepower. I'm not looking to do anything that could shorten the life of the motor, I'm just checking to see if it is an option worth persuing. Thanks again for the replies so far!

I'm getting a mid 70's Evinrude 15HP outboard soon. I had another 15HP Evinrude (about the same year) a while ago on my jon boat and just wasn't quite enough for it. I was wondering if it's as "simple" as a carb upgrade to bump it up to a 20? I've heard of people doing this with a 9.9 up to a 15 before, was just curious if its the same from a 15 to a 20 or is there more involved.

IMO, you're using the best stuff out there (KVD L&L). Do you apply the L&L when you spool up initially? That's when I like to apply it. I'll spray some on my reels the night before an outing if I haven't used a rod in a while. Hopefully, some others can offer you some other advice!

First, welcome to the boards Hatty! I've only had success with one spinnerbait color up here in MD so far this year (the spinnerbait bite has only started to turn on for me here). The brand I'm using is a discontinued one called XCiter. The color is a bluegill color and there's a fair amount of holofoil strands in the skirt. It's always been a good producer for me this time of year. I need to place an order for my other top producing color since I just lost my last one (fishing from shore). That one is a Picasso in Red Shad.

They're definitely up there on the stylin and profilin points! I'd be curious on how they compare with the BPS Bionic Blade.

I like the Tiki Sticks for smallies. For largemouths, I turn more to the Tiki Bam Boo's. Are there days that other brands are more productive? Sure, but I've also had days go their way too. Hmmmm, that reminds me, I need to add a couple colors! ;D
