  2. I had a 2008 Tundra and now have a 2017 F250 gasser. MPG is the same. It sucks. Will you be saving any money driving electric? The increase in your tax dollars will negate any savings from the tank. Might even cost you more. The solar on your roof...did you pay for the install or bought the house with it already on the roof? Solar ain't cheap. In Chicago, I can buy a loaded Ranger bass boat for what it would cost to install an average size home with solar. I'll never see the return. At least with a boat, I'd be able to fish.
  3. Think I saw the body farm on an episode of Dirty Jobs
  4. The electric market is nonexistent. Only 2% of vehicles purchased are electric. The market has spoken. The bulk of the vehicles sold are on government contracts and were it not for subsidies, Tesla would have been history before they even started. Windfarms and solar power will never be able to support a beefed up electrical grid. Natural gas and coal are the 2 biggest fuels in the world to create electricity. Nuclear is the safest, cleanest, and most efficient way to produce electricity. IMO electric vehicles is just an expensive experiment that is bound to fail. They have their place in the world but will never replace fossil fuel burning vehicles. We should funnel tax dollars into NG and LP for cleaner burning, efficient transportation.
  5. I'm pretty sure I sent that music video to @A-Jay when he bought the Lund
  6. The biggest issue with bearing buddies is they can only be taken off and put back on once or twice for a repack or an inspection. The grooves on the lip that fits in the hub flatten and then you lose the bearing buddy riding down the road. I'd recommend doing a repack/inspection every 2-3 years just to CYA.
  7. You could get yourself one of these Electric outboards have been around for some time now. If i recall, the E Fusion 200hp motor and battery pack had a cost close to 60 grand....and that doesn't include the boat.
  8. What works for me is I take a pic then take a screen shot of the pic and post the screen shot. It works more often than not.
  9. Not a fan of headlamps. I do like me one of these and clip it right to my shirt. I keep it in the glovebox. https://sensibleproducts.com/rechargeable-pocket-light/ As far as regular flashlights, I have a rechargeable Fenix tactical light that is 1000 lumens. Not cheap but I think worth every penny.
  10. We have a home in Wisconsin that we gutted to the studs and tore out the maple floors. Underneath the flooring dead set in the middle of one of the rooms there was a sheet of newspaper from 1910. From what I understand, the home was originally an "Ice house". The home is across the street from what is known as the Upper Dells, on the Wisconsin River. I guess they would cut blocks of ice and ship them south on insulated rail cars to use for refrigeration.
  11. And you give us a blurry selfie to judge you on...LOL Congrats bud and kudos to Mrs. 12poundbass for putting up with this guy for so long. I'm toasting a glass of Four Roses to your Miller Lite.
  12. Am I missing something or am I stupid? How do you not replace the rear seal when you replace the inner bearing? I've always used a seal tool to pull the rear seal to access the inner bearing. The seal is garbage after that.
  13. I haven't lost enough hair to go bald. My brother on the other hand should shave what's left of his hair but refuses to.
  14. Glad I could help.
  15. There is a God! I called her cell on Sunday and she texted me back Monday She's been in Mexico for the last month for a family emergency. She closed up shop after 20 years because traffic never recovered from covid. She's working out of her basement.
  16. Are you using marine rated grease and are you packing the bearings correctly?
  17. Fantastic! If you don't mind me asking, How does one graduate from high school and college a week apart?
  18. Now the fun begins
  19. Are you sure you have the correct bearings?
  20. Two visual jokes without the visual. First one has been my dad's favorite joke since I've been alive. Did you hear the one about the one armed fisherman? He caught a fish this big! (holding out one hand in front of him to show the size of the fish rather than 2 hands) You know what really burns me up? A flame about this high.(holding your hand at waist level parallel to the ground) The version I heard of this is Confucius say "He who farts in church sit's in his own pew"
  21. Maybe it's time to move up north and try your hand at smallmouth.
  22. That's an original Power Drive and probably has the Co-Pilot remote. At least 15 years old or older as I think the PowerDrive V2 came out around 2008ish. The foot pedals are garbage.
  23. Funny story. Since mom has passed, dad has been looking to fill his time with activities. He took some Coast Guard auxiliary test on line, passed it, but isn't going to become a USCG Auxiliary because he isn't able to fulfill the duties at 81 years old. I took him fishing yesterday and he made mention of the fire extinguisher I had in the boat. I told him I needed it to be legal. He said "So much for the test I just took."
