  1. It's believable. Crappies can have big appetites. Last Saturday I caught a 8" bluegill on a 10" jointed Husky Jerk.
  2. This young lady could sing me to sleep every night
  3. I'm not sure.....
  4. I would only own a V2 with the Ipilot option. The foot pedal is garbage. I had the V2 Ipilot on my last boat and used the built in US2 transducer and an adapter cable for a Lowrance graph. That being said, You can use an external transducer with this motor but you will need to modify or buy the mounts for it to work for you. I've heard of guys using a coiled up air compressor hose to run the cable thru, among other things. There are a bunch of videos on youtube about modifications. Yes it can be done.
  5. I buy a non resident annual license for Wisconsin every year. It's easier than getting a resident license for Illinois.
  6. If you didn't get safety lenses, you're selling yourself short. You're screwed if a jig suddenly gets unstuck and fly's 100mph back at your face. I got hit in the back of the head with a jig from my fishing partner and that sumabitch left a lump. Had that hit me in the eye, I'd have to change my username to cyclops.
  7. Twas a nippley morning. Dad showed up at about 5:40 this morning. Grabbed some coffee and got on the road. Local water is closed due to high water although it looks as if the river has crested, and the land locked lakes I normally fish either still have ice or the launch piers haven't been put in yet. Drove south an hour and 45 minutes to a cooling lake I haven't been to since prior to purchasing the Lund, so at least 6 years. The lake used to be an incredible bass lake where 100 bass days were not uncommon. A number of years ago, the plant was shut down form maintenance during the winter and the bass couldn't survive the cold. Huge fish kill. Currently it's known for wipers and big cats. The season opened for this particular lake on the 15th. Reports showed good numbers of wipers being caught on opening weekend. Reports didn't say if it was from shore, casting, or trolling, which is the preferred method on this lake. It was slow but at least we got to wet some lines. Ended up with 3 wipers, the largest being 19", 3 cats, 2 largemouth, and a bluegill. 2 cats caught on worms, and everything else on deep diving Husky Jerks
  8. Saw them for the Powerslave tour. Twisted Sister opened for them
  9. Cheating.....I'm headed to a cooling lake in the morning.
  10. Dewinterize? When you're done, drain the live well and trim the motor straight to let the water drain. You can burp the motor if you want. I usually leave the livewell hatches open so they don't freeze shut.
  11. Boats are designed to get wet. Id start with the batteries
  12. You might be correct. I think it lasted a few episodes and was cancelled.
  13. I called tomorrow, 3/22 for ice out in northern IL. Ponds are open. Small local lakes are open. Home water is closed due to flooding. Larger lakes are at least partially ice free if not all but, no piers are in for launching. Will I be fishing this Saturday 3/23??? We shall see we shall see......
  14. Sorry, but there is only one Black Sabbath, and that's the original with Ozzy. No disrespect to Dio or Ian Gillian. 9 Always liked GFR
  15. They get mixed reviews online. Cabelas branded chargers are made by Pro Mariner. I put one in my last boat to replace a MK and didn't have issues for the 2 years I used it prior to selling the boat
  16. Still hard water on the lakes up here. Small ponds are thawed and large ponds are half thawed
  17. Years ago our grocery stores had scales so you could weigh your produce so you knew exactly how much you were getting. In my foolish youth, I caught my first "big" bass and brought it to the grocery store. Put it in a plastic bag and weighed it on the produce scale and confirmed it was a hair over 5lbs. Grabbed some bread crumbs and french fries and took it home for dinner. They don't call it a fish-eye lens for nothing....? It made Jimmy Houston a millionaire.
  18. Are the ring terminals on the charger clean and free of oxidation? Battery posts free of oxidation?

Reminds me of the Indian chief who named his children after the first thing he saw when they were born. His daughters Babbling Brook and Flowery Meadow and his son Two Dogs Screwing.
  20. This bass was only about 5"
  21. Switch from Keitech's. Like senkos, they are good for 1 or 2 fish or no fish at all before they wear out. Kalin's makes a much more durable swimbait
  22. I dropped serious coin on prescription polarized Wiley's with progressive lenses. It beats not being able to see.
  23. Smoked my stereo connecting the battery on Saturday. The Lund fairy should be dropping by soon.
  24. So, my home water is closed. It's 2ft over summer pool and 2ft below flood stage.
