  1. Told ya not to go to Jiffy Lube.
  2. No different than crack my friends. You get a taste and you want more. Get a 2 pounder, you want a 3. Get a 3 pounder you want a 4, and so on. I think you all need help.
  3. I don't think so. It's funny sometimes. 2 weeks ago I'm in a buddy tournament. I'm fishing a small lake in a 12000 acre river system. Winds blowing similar to yours. There was 8 of 44 boats fishing the same small area because everyones trying to ditch the wind. So we are approaching another boat. I'm still 50 yards away. He watches me catch 2 dinks one after another. I watch him pull up the TM and drop anchor in the middle of the channel. We get a little closer and he says "Are you in the tournament? because we're anchored" He knows darn well we're in the tournament. I have 1 of the 2 tin boats in the club. So my son acknowledges him and we turn the boat around. Well we get to the weigh in and dock next to him. My son says "How'd you do?" He says "Probably the same as you." My son says "We got 4." He doesn't say a word. They weighed in a goose egg and we took 3rd with big bass.
  4. Bread crumbs and 350 degree oil. A couple years ago here in IL a guy caught the world record blue catfish. 124 plus lbs. It was shipped to Cabelas in Kansas to be on display. By the time it got ther the fish was so fatigued and stressed it died.
  5. If I had offered you a hamburger with all the fixin's while you were trying to hookup with a girl, would you have taken it? The spawn could last weeks or longer. Different fish get the "itch" at different times. If some are on the spawn this week, some are alredy done, and some are still thinking about it. A fish on the spawn will probably only hit a lure out of anger, they are not thinking about food.
  6. She was caught on Ky Lake in 2008 on a crappie minnow. Between 6&7lbs
  7. I know you guys are thinking "Not another picture thread" I have recently aquired some old pics that my mother had. Anyway, how about posting some old fishing pics of you and your family members. Doesn't have to be bass. Stories behind the pics would be good to. I know many of you aren't that old. It's all relative. These 2 pics are of my grandfather, possibly the 1940's or 1950's. They were taken at Lake in the Woods. My grandfather told me they used to shoot the pike and musky in the head with a .22 before bringing them in the boat.(don't know if there's any truth to that)He's the one who first got me interested in the sport and taught me how to use a baitcaster on a stainless steel rod and a reel that some would consider primitave. Me, 1986 with my father and grandfather Eagle Lake, Ontario Me, early 80's with a brown trout And this one I've posted before. My brother and Bill Dance early to mid 90's
  8. Isn't anyone fishing? Ice has been gone for 6 weeks. Here's a couple from Mothers Day. Caught on the Fox River in Carpentersville. Got 'em both on weightless t-rigged Yum Dingers in watermelon red flake. Nothing huge. They were both 14-15" and appeared to be males. Got them within 15 minutes of each other and not another bite afterwards.
  9. The glue has no effect on the line.
  10. Now that's what I'm talking about.
  11. So the stereo hasn't worked all season. Got a chance to look at it today. Repaired a short and replace a fuse. Now the stereo powers up. There is no display on the faceplate. I can turn it on and off one station comes on and I cannot change the station. Tried the Ipod, doesnt work either. It's a Clarion if that matters. My question is can it be fixed or will it need to be replaced?
  12. ...or any bass bait for that matter. They destroy everything. IMO they along with musky are a nusiance fish, unless of course they are HUGE. We catch pike and musky quite a bit, when we don't want them. My son caught his very first musky last year during a bass tourney and was PO'd. About a week later he says "Dad, I got my first musky!"
  13. In my experience, if the bass won't hit a spinnerbait they aren't going to hit a chatterbait. This year I have discovered fishing a swimjig with a paddletail trailer. So far so good.
  14. Bringing back memories. I haven't thrown a Culprit in years. When I was a kid all I threw were T-rigged Culprits and spinnerbaits from shore. I still have them in my tackle arsenal but now that I have a boat I would rather throw a jig.
  15. Rather than trim a weed guards length, I trim off about half the bristles. Still have the length to "guard" against weeds but more hook ups because the guard is softer.
  16. Not here in Chicago. The rain stopped last week only to start up again tonite for another week. Time to get some sun into the mix.
  17. Isn't that why you had kids?

Where's it at? On North Ave somewhere? I'll stop in if I'm working in the neighborhood.
  19. You'd need an industrial sized frying pan for that.
  20. Congrats I haven't been able to get better than 3rd.
  21. How many tags does Bin Laden fill?
  22. My only complaint was I was hoping for more than a box of plastics. Glad you're happy with your take AJ. Now go catch a bass on that Spook. It's got Jimmy Houstons signature on it so it must be good
  23. Here is another. This was shot on the Wabash River in Indiana. Another goofy video but it can show you how dangerous boating can be on infested waters. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=x3Bf0WhvsNk

I can say I've never had any issues with their hand gun rounds like I have with some other manufacturers.
