I haven't used both but have the V2 70lb Ipilot with the transducer built in. It's mounted to the bow of my 17ft Mirrocraft Holiday. The bow area on mt boat doesn't have much space and I have a bad ankle and hip. The V2 is a hand control only which suits me fine, allowing me more room to move. The Terrova, I believe, can override the Ipilot with the footpedal which would be the main difference between the 2. 70lb is the max thrust on the V2 and 101lb for the Terrova.

They're probably more apt to eat the perch and crawfish rather than the bluegills. I'd try a perch crankbait or jerkbait, PB&J or camo football jigs, and maybe watermelon red flake tubes to start. My personal favorite smallie crankbait is a Berkley Frenzy (which they don't make anymore). Try a Rapala Countdown or Huskyjerk in perch or silver or gold with a black back

You could try throwing those huge rocks at them. What are they eating? Crawfish? Shad? Shiners? Something else? I'd start there with their main forage. Worse oomes to worse throw a natural looking jig.

Agree. That appears to be a fuse holder in the 3rd pic. You should probably check with the TM manufacturer about what size fuse should go in there.

Deep down? Of course it's size. Every time I set the hook there is always that hope the fish on the line is a monster.

X2 Glad you're ok. When weather is like that, we take a vote during our tournaments whether they should go on or be rescheduled. So far, all of the time egos get involved and we have never rescheduled. Worst I ever had it, I was salmon fishing on Lake Michigan all day on glass calm water with my son who was 8 or 9 at the time. We were on my dad's 24' Pro Line walk around. I heard on the weatherband radio the warnings and started to head in. A storm cell developed and in a matter of minutes we went from calm to 5 footers and pouring rain. The anchor came loose from its lock on the bow and flipped around and smashed into the hull. All could do is think about my son. It was the scariest 10 miles of my life trying to get back to the marina. We made it back alive with minimal damage, and a whole new respect for the water. Always remember water doesn't forgive.

Fill it with distilled water above the lead put it on the charger and give it a shot. As far as cleaning it up, put on some rubber gloves and scrubbing it with some soapy water should do the trick although it may have left a stain or etching in the concrete. Throw the rags out. Battery acid is corrosive and will eat holes through stuff.

I was there last week. See my post in "My trip/tournament forum" Water is really low and fish were all near deep water. We got them on primary and secondary points. Shad patterned crankbaits worked the best with a silver w/black back Rapala Countdowns outperforming the rest. We also got them on green pumpkin jigs or watermelon red flake and junebug soft plastics. Also picked up a few on chartruse/white spinnerbaits. FLW guys that placed caught their fish in Tennessee waters. Good luck.

I have been fishing tournaments for about 5 years. I have done well in small single tourneys all of those years. My club tourneys are a different story. Up until last year I had just done OK. Never cashed a check and normaly came in the top 1/3. Last year due to getting injured at work, I had a little more time to prefish. What I learned most was the ability to not fish unproductive water. What I mean is rather than thoroughly fishing a few spots, I was hitting it with a run and gun approach. The club I fish with fishes one body of water. Everyone knows the "spots". Last season, for the first time, I spent less time thoroughly fishing a few spots and spent more time fishing more spots, sometimes hitting spots twice. I cashed checks in more than half the tourneys I fished. I must have done something right. So I guess it's all about time management and confidence.

Arrived in Benton, KY at 3:30 on Wednesday and was on the lake at 4:30. First thing we noticed was the lake was really low. About 4-5ft below summer pool. Cool, windy, and overcast. Water temps varied throughout the trip from 49-54 degrees. Went to some spots that have always produced fish and we did have some decent action on soft plastics and jigs. Thursday was overcast in the morning and partly sunny in the afternoon. We caught more fish today than on the others but most were short. I hooked a PIG that was too fat to jump. She rolled and threw the hook. Friday came around and so did the wind. 2-3ft rollers on the main lake and a pain to control the tin boat. we called it a day at 1:00 and went over to the Moors to watch the FLW/Everstart weigh in. Didn't feel so bad after seeing many of those guys bringing in 1 or 2 fish bags. Saturday was another windy day with little action and mostly short fish. The College/National Guard weigh in was at the Moors and word had it they didn't do to well. (I believe they weighed in 20 fish total). We couldn't establish any kind of a pattern except the majority of the fish were caught shallow near deep water. We caught fish on plastics, jigs, cranks, and spinners. Most of the fish were scattered. I spoke with a guy doing creel surveys. He said the TVA was going to lower the lake another 2ft before they bring it back up to summer pool. On a sad note 2 fishermen were killed when they got too close to the dam and their boat capsized. Here's a few pics. \ Some weigh in pics I think this girl was 7lbs 14oz This guy won the FLW tourney. He had 51lbs after the day 2 weigh in. A 7lb5oz big bass. He ended up getting 9lbs on day 3 and his fish as well as most of the top 10 were caught in Tennessee.

So if I use a PB&J colored jig in rootbeer colored water will I catch a fish I can eat for lunch or do I have to throw Doritos into the mix? Seriously amish... the clearer the water the more natural the color. The more stained, off colored or dirty the water you can get away with other stuff. There are hundreds of posts you can search on this site that will lead you in the right direction. Watermelon and blacknblue are 2 colors you can't go wrong with. As far as spinnerbaits, many will recommend a colorado blade in more off colored water.
