  1. I never use swimmin jigs, only flippin jigs. I ALWAYS use a Berkley PowerBait 4" Chigger Craw. Since the jig bite can be hard to detect(winter, heavy vegetation) i like the strong PowerBait scent because they won't let it go. Therefore, giving me more time to detect the strike and set the hook!
  2. I have owned and used three Citica Es FYI(don't tell anyone that)! I tossed em all for Revos(STX, SX mainly)! Does that make us both experts on them?
  3. As I said, you will not find a better reel for $120 or less. The Revo S, while not a bad reel, can't touch the Citica 200E with a 5 meter carp rod. How do you figure that one!?!
  4. Revo S for under $100 new on Ebay!!!!!!!!
  5. Definitely magnetic for me! I hate having to open the side cover to adjust the brakes! Plus i think you get more levels of adjustments(smaller increments) with magnetic brakes.
  6. Trust me, i will try! I am going back this weekend to try and FINALLY get that DD bass i have been chasing for well over 20yrs now!!
  7. I have learned that the sooner you accept the monkey's powers, the easier it will all be, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I too think they are garbage! My bro had two mess up on him! One with the reel seat and the other the guides! For that price you could have a MUCH better rod imo!
  9. You are brave being on the water when it is lightning! I have noticed this is true though. We got caught in a slow steady rain Sun and the bite kicked into over drive! But as soon as thunder/lightning moved in, the bite disappeared, and so did we!!!!!
  10. My thoughts exactly!!! But if he does that than he would have to sale all his reels to buy more Revos!!!! ;D
  11. I could lose all my gear tomorrow(god forbid) and just keep my worm set-up and a T-rigged worm and still be happy! It is my number one bait all year round.
  12. I do to a certain extent i guess! i have a certain outfit that i really like and is comfortable too. That's why you will always see the same shirt in all my pics! We always stop for breakfast then dinner so i don't want to look like a complete scrub!
  13. He told me the RX8 only came in a platinum color!?! That is why i called the deal off(i wanted black)! Oh well, i gave up looking and just stuck with my Powell Rods. I did talk with many builders(local and on line) but did not come to terms with any of them! I guess the rod i want just doesn't exist! THANKS ALL
  14. Thank goodness that is never happened to me(yet)! I would be scared for life!!!!
  15. That's a Rage Tail bait IMO! BEAUTIFUL FISH!!!
  16. I use the Manns frog with no issues!
  17. I encounter this a lot on my lakes in FL. I found out by downsizing that 99.9% of the time it was a Dink that wasn't getting it all down! But, that's just my personal experience, yours may be a lazy hawg!
  18. Yup, for casting it makes no real difference! But, for flippin'/pitchin with your right hand, a left hand retrieve reel is ideal. Sometimes the strike comes immediately after the lure hits the water.
  19. My thoughts exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. I found that when a jig/T-rig won't work, a Senko will slay em! GOOD LUCK
  21. I have learned you can work a T-rig through just about anything if you go slow and be patient! I absolutely love fishing grass on my lakes!
  22. My thoughts exactly!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Really, it has been wide open for us! We caught a total of 26 fish yesterday! Most in the 1-2 1/2lb range plus my 7lb and my bro got a 5lb 8oz fish as well. Post spawn was a nightmare for us but i think they are settling into a more summer oriented pattern now?
  24. THANKS A LOT GUYS!!! I am still working hard at becoming a member of the double digit club though!!!!! ;D
