    Where in Louisiana?
  2. Interesting topic! Very interesting! Toledo Bend was known as the Mudbug Capital of the world & trolling was why. I still got a few ?
  3. Thank you ? Great topic for discussion, enjoyed all the feedback.
  4. If you can hit me in the back of the head while standing next to me you're an extraordinary caster! If I wanna chitchat I'm gonna stay home & throw something on the pit! Fishing ain't fun...Catching is ?

Great thread that doesn't address his specific needs.

Watch Grag Hackney videos, in many of them his fishes in south Louisiana.
  7. Some of y'all have stated that y'all would like to fish with me, I think y'all would be disappointed! The instant y'all step foot in my boat we become a team not two individuals fighting against each other. Once a pattern has been determined having both anglers using the same techniques will beat any "team" fishing against themselves.
  8. 72,845 members & y'all ain't got any experience with Mitsubishi?
  9. Hypothetically what are you trying to accomplish?
  10. Could you only fish crankbaits year round forever? Yes Would I fish only crankbaits year round forever! Uhh that's a no!
  11. Y'all don't talk? Y'all need to sit down & come to a understanding that fishing together as a "team" is more productive than two random guys on different ends of the boat. You need to up your power fishing game & he needs to up his finesse fishing game. A house divided amongst itself will never stand.
  12. Any of y'all have any experience with 2021 Mitsubishi? Looking to replace Momma's VW Jetta Sportswagon
  13. From my house to Fin-n-Feather marina on Toledo Bend is a 2 hr 11 min drive, if I launch at 6-Mile public boat launch take the 11 minutes off. A normal trip for me is to be there 30-45 minutes before daylight, fish until noon, check into the marina, fish the afternoon. Next morning fish until noon, checkout, fish the afternoon, drive home. The farthest would be a 6 hr boat run through marshes to a duck camp. We bass fished in afternoon & duck hunted in the morning.
  14. Yes sir it definitely is! It's going around high school & college baseball & fishing teams. A friend of mine's 15 year old son on a local high school fishing team.
  15. I ran Xpress jon boats for years, their hulls are 0.100 gauge aluminum. Their ribs, ransom, & transom brace are heavy duty. If the dent is between ribs which it looks like it is, I wouldn't worry about it. I run Suzuki for years as well, very reliable outboard.
  16. Well I ain't digging though my wife's closet to look for pictures. 36 years of marriage you learn to pick your battles, this ain't one of em!
  17. There's your problem right there! Pre-frontal conditions move fish Pre-spawn conditions move fish The effects of a front can be slight to total lock jaw. The effects of pre-spawn can be a feeding frenzy or shutdown. This time of the year it's all about timing.
  18. Happy Birthday & kick bass!
  19. Every lure we fish will have rythm, cadence, speed of retrieval that will trigger a reaction from the bass. When you get bit try to remember exactly what your lure was doing & duplicate it on the next cast. Now to complicate it! This rythm is subject change as often as hourly but if you're lucky it could hold all day.
  20. @Dougw While I love this time of the year I hate it because of the weather! Going on right now, severe weather alert: high winds with cloud to ground lightning.
  21. You'll grow up one day ?
  22. Ain't no fences on our borders y'all welcome to move here!
  23. You don't know this Cajun to well! I've been known to put a reel on the rod I'm looking at, string it up, & tie on a lure. If management doesn't like it I'll gladly take my business elsewhere! Twice I was sent a rod to do a review on & both times instead of sending them back I bought them. Would I be willing to order a rod online sight unseen? Yes sir but I would be just as willing to return it!
  24. Yes sir ? This time of year I pay more attention to night time temperatures. Days are getting longer warming the water longer. Warmer nights helps hold the water temperatures. Cold fronts can bring cold rain which can drop temperatures.
