  1. Crazy game. That amazing Kearse catch to set up an improbable Wilson interception. The Bennett offsides was icing on the cake. At least Baldwin and Sherman will shut up now.....I hope.
  2. Look at a Tatula combo. You can find the rod and reel for about $100 each. Get a F action for jigs and plastics or a R action for crankbaits.
  3. This has always been my understanding as well.
  4. The Elite guys normally only fish 1 series of Opens anyway. I seriously doubt Ish would have fished the Central or Northern Opens, especially considering he's fishing both tours.
  5. Oh, nevermind then. LOL
  6. Check out Morgan Custom Lures. He makes a nice 6" shad and will paint it however you want for a reasonable price.
  7. This sale runs until they sell an allotted number of baits. If it makes it to Friday morning I'm going to order one. I'm not holding my breath though.
  8. I find it all very interesting but it doesn't effect my buying habits in the slightest, or at least consciously it doesn't.
  9. I could see Duo being involved if they are expanding into rods, soft plastics and a larger line of hard baits. I just don't see Martens leaving Megabass unless it was for something all inclusive that he would have an ownership stake in. He's been using Shimano reels for years with no sponsorship, I don't think that's it.
  10. It's going to be something like Skeet did with Wright and McGill. He will get ownership in the company and his own line of products. Hopefully it won't be crappy stuff like Skeet.
  11. From Martens: "I would like to take the opportunity to thank Megabass for 17 years of support and friendship. While it is the end of our business relationship, it is in no way the end of the many friendships I have developed with the people at Megabass. I will always consider Yuskei Murayama of Megabass USA and Yuki Ito and the many other great people of Megabass Japan to be my friends. "The experiences provided to me through Megabass both inside of the fishing industry and outside of it will always be special to me. Megabass products have helped me climb the ranks from a young wide-eyed rookie to a two-time Bassmaster Angler of the Year. That wouldn't have been possible without the long-time support of such a great company. "At this time, I am not making an announcement about my next steps, but I will be ready to do so soon. For now, I am focused on preparing for the Bassmaster Classic and enjoying some time with the family."
  12. Pretty much any rod builder in the country can make you a rod on a NFC blank. Kistler and Edge rods are the only companies I know of using NFC blanks in their rods. Anyone can buy the blanks though.
  13. I've carried a Glock 27 for about 15 years. I love the gun and shoot it really well after years of practice. I'm seriously considering a Shield or a Kahr for summertime carry. It isn't that the overall size is smaller, it's the thickness that makes a difference for IWB carry. Plus, they feel great in the hand. I might even go with the "lowly" 9MM. lol
  14. Thank you, I couldn't agree more.
  15. Big fish aren't always near the bank.
  16. I've got 2 100D's still in rotation. They are awesome little reels. I would take a 100D over a 50E every day of the week, and I like the 50E.
  17. I always forget some of you guys have toothy fish. That makes total sense.
  18. People do the same thing here. We get maybe 1" of snow and/or ice once or twice a year. People go out and buy everything in the grocery store, knowing full well it will be 50° again in a couple of days. It's crazy.
  19. How are you losing frogs? I don't think I've ever lost one.
  20. Congratulations Clayton, she's a beauty!!
  21. I've pretty much boiled all my frog fishing down to 2, the Jackall Iobee and Ish's Phat Frog.
  22. Make sure you're jerking it on a slack line.
  23. I would love to see A Mart, Evers or Faircloth win it. I think those guys are great fishermen and "deserve" a Classic win.
  24. I've found this to be true as well.
  25. Another guy I forgot about is Jacob Wheeler. I don't know how he fairs in cold weather tourneys but he's from Indy and he seems to be at his best in big time tournaments.
